Donny Osmond Celebrates 47th Wedding Anniversary with Wife Debbie Osmond — ‘This Incredible and Crazy Adventure’
The singer shared a sweet post honoring his 47 years of marriage with his wife, Debbie, on their anniversary.
Forty-seven years of marriage is no easy feat, especially 47 years that are spent in the public eye as one of the most beloved couples. But it’s an accomlishment that singer, dancer and actor Donny Osmond recently celebrated with his wife, Debbie, sharing a loving Instagram post to commemorate.
“Thank you, Debbie, for saying yes to my proposal 47 years ago and for sharing this incredible and crazy adventure through show business with me,” Osmond started the caption. “You’ve been more than I could have ever hoped for—my partner, my anchor, my inspiration, and my dear wife.”
Donny and Debbie: A love story

The couple hasn’t only been in each other’s lives for 47 years—they met years prior to dating each other.
“I first met Debbie when she was 15 years old. She was the hot babe cheerleader in town, and she dated my brother Jay before she dated me,” Donny shared on Facebook in 2020. “It took me three whole years to win her heart and convince her to marry me.”
But once they were together, there was no stopping their love for one another. Donny was certain she was the one for him and he decided to make it official. The singer proposed to Debbie and the two exchanged vows on May 8, 1978, in Salt Lake City, Utah at Salt Lake Utah Temple.

Following their union, the couple went on to welcome five sons: Don Jr. in 1979, Jeremy in 1981, Brandon in 1985, Christopher in 1990 and Joshua in 1998. Donny and Debbie are now also the proud grandparents to 14 grandchildren.
Donny Osmond doesn’t take his family for granted
Being in the spotlight can be hard for someone, even if they’ve been there their entire lives. Osmond gained fame in his teen years when he began singing with his brothers, then as a duo with his sister and later as a solo act. But throughout all of that, Osmond has kept his family at top of mind.
“Whenever I make a decision in my life, the first thing I think about is her,” Donny shared. “How does it affect her? And the second thing I think about is how does it affect my children? The third, now, is how does it affect my grandchildren. And then I’m fourth. If all four of those are a green light, then I’ll do it.”
