Susan Sarandon’s Son Has Gone Viral for His Hilarious ‘Nepo Baby’ Videos: Meet Him and the Star’s 2 Other Kids
See what Jack and Miles Robbins and Eva Amurri had to say about growing up in the spotlight
Susan Sarandon has long been known for her spellbinding screen presence and powerful performances in films like Bull Durham, Thelma & Louise, Dead Man Walking and Stepmom, and she and her partner and cinematic collaborator, Tim Robbins, were one of the A-list couples that defined ’90s Hollywood.
Sarandon and Robbins’ two sons, Jack and Miles, have both gone on to creative careers, and Sarandon’s daughter, Eva, born prior to her nearly 20-year relationship with Robbins, became a celebrity in her own right.
While Sarandon’s kids have followed in her footsteps in certain ways, they’ve also been refreshingly candid about the challenges that come with being a child of famous parents, and her older son, Jack, has recently been in the news thanks to his viral videos that make fun of the “nepo baby” label and people’s preconceived notions of him and his family.
Keep reading to meet Sarandon’s three children and learn about the varied projects they’ve taken on.
Eva Amurri: From acting with her mom to becoming an influencer
Susan Sarandon met director Franco Amurri on the set of the 1982 film Tempest, and they became a couple during the mid-’80s. Their daughter, Eva Amurri, was born in 1985.
Amurri initially followed in her mom’s footsteps and became an actress. She made her screen debut at just 7 years old, with a bit part opposite Sarandon and her partner, Tim Robbins, in the 1992 political satire Bob Roberts and played her mom’s character as a child in Dead Man Walking (1995). She had small roles in Sarandon’s films Earthly Possessions and Anywhere But Here (both 1999), and in 2001, mother and daughter guest-starred in an episode of Friends. In 2002, Amurri played Sarandon’s daughter in The Banger Sisters.

Amurri had her breakout in a film without her famous mom in the 2004 indie comedy Saved! She continued to act with her mom in Middle of Nowhere (2008), That’s My Boy (2012), The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe (2015) and Mothers and Daughters (2016).
Amurri established herself as a TV star with a recurring role as David Duchovny’s stripper love interest on Californication in 2009. She then made appearances on House (2010), The Mindy Project (2013), New Girl (2011, 2013) and How I Met Your Mother (2009, 2014) and was in the cast of the sitcom Undateable in 2014. Most recently, she once again played a young version of her mom, this time in the short-lived 2022 series Monarch.

Outside of acting, Amurri started a lifestyle blog, Happily Eva After, in 2015, and she has a large following as an influencer. In 2021, she launched a fashion line, and she also has a furniture line and a home design-themed YouTube series. In a Woman’s World interview this year, she spoke candidly about quitting acting, saying, “I was acting for 15 years, but I was very unfulfilled. I actually felt like the industry was slowly killing me. It’s not an easy place to be a woman.”
The social media star and former actress married soccer player Kyle Martino in 2011, and they had a daughter and two sons before divorcing in 2020. She married chef Ian Hock in 2024.

Amurri has cited her Oscar-winning mom as a major source of inspiration, telling Woman’s World, “She always showed me that it’s possible to be a mom and do what you’re passionate about and work outside of home. I feel fortunate that I was able to see my mom have this big career while also having such a close relationship with her kids, and I think that gave me the confidence to do that same thing. Obviously my mom and I are in very different businesses now, but having her as an example has really made me a lot less hard on myself, because I’ve seen another woman go through the trials and tribulations of being a busy working mom.”

Jack Henry Robbins: From directing to poking fun at the ‘nepo baby’ label
Susan Sarandon met Tim Robbins on the set of the 1988 baseball movie Bull Durham, and they had a long-term relationship that lasted until 2009. Their first son, Jack Henry Robbins, was born in 1989.
Robbins had a bit part in Dead Man Walking as a kid and dabbled in acting with a few roles in short films, but ultimately decided he was more interested in going behind the camera. He made his directorial debut with the 2011 short Love and went on to direct the feature films Opening Night (2016), Ghostmates (2016) and VHYes (2019) and the documentaries Storied Streets (2014) and I’ve Got Levitation (2018). From 2021 to 2022, he worked as a segment director for Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Recently, Robbins has been getting a lot of attention for his hilarious Instagram videos satirizing his “nepo baby” status. His parents have made cameos in his viral videos, and he’s collaborated with other nepo babies like Clara McGregor and Sasha Spielberg to poke fun at how the public views children of celebrities. He’s currently developing a Hulu TV series based on his videos.

In a New York Times interview, Robbins called his persona in the videos “the worst version of me that could have ever happened,” and said, “Here’s this painfully out-of-touch, delusional person, who for all his advantages is the world’s least successful nepo baby. I’m having fun completely satirizing my biggest insecurity.”
Robbins also told The New York Times that he’s been having a lot of fun collaborating with his A-list parents in his videos, saying, “To have a format where we get to play together as actors was something I never thought we’d get to experience, because I never wanted to be an actor.”

Miles Robbins: From playing music to making his name as a movie star
Sarandon and Robbins had their youngest son, Miles Robbins, in 1992. He is in the Pow Pow Family Band, an experimental group with whom he often performs in drag, and has deejayed and directed music videos.
Robbins is also an accomplished actor, and like his brother, he made his screen debut with a bit part in Dead Man Walking. He then shared the screen with his mom again in The Greatest (2009).

Since the 2010s, Robbins has been in a variety of films, including My Friend Dahmer (2017), Blockers (2018), Halloween (2018), Daniel Isn’t Real (2019), Let It Snow (2019) and Old Dads (2023). He also had recurring roles on TV shows like Mozart in the Jungle (2016 to 2018) and the 2018 season of The X-Files. Robbins most recently appeared in the movies Y2K (2024) and Control Freak (2025).

When the Los Angeles Times asked Robbins about growing up with famous parents, he said, “I won’t try to act like I will ever escape it. I think at a certain point in my life, I was a lot more precious about that. Perhaps from a place of ego, I didn’t want to be associated with them at all because I was going to be so overshadowed by them . . . I’m at the point now where if someone thinks of me that way or boxes me in to be being just ‘the child of,’ I just think that they’re being narrow-minded and not looking at the fact that I’m very different from them and don’t work with them.”
