With her striking features, stunning head of gray curls and illustrious film and television career, it should come as no surprise that actress and model Andie MacDowell’s children followed in their famous mom’s footsteps—at least some of them. MacDowell was married to Paul Qualley, a rancher and model, from 1986 to 1999, and while together, they welcomed three children: Margaret, Rainey and Justin Qualley. Though Justin, the eldest, lives a quiet life with his family in Montana far from the limelight, their two daughters, Rainey and Margaret, have found fame in the film, television, modeling and music industries. Margaret Qualley
These days, you can’t escape the allure of Margaret Qualley. One of the stars of the 2024 horror film The Substance, the 30-year-old dancer-turned-model-turned-actress is showing that she’s got a range that rivals her mother! The stunning starlet spent much of her youth perfecting the art of dance. Once she retired, her next pursuit was modeling, and as the daughter of two figures who found great success in the industry, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that she did as well. Soon enough, however, Qualley made yet another pivot into the acting world.
The actress made her on-screen debut in 2013’s Palo Alto and has been building up her resume ever since. Shows like The Leftovers and Maid put her on the map, and films such as Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood (2019) and Poor Things (2023) placed her opposite some of the biggest names in the industry. Last year, however, her role opposite Demi Moore in The Substance got everyone talking, and proved she’s more than just “Andie MacDowell’s daughter.”
Rainey Qualley
Rainey, much like her younger sis Margaret, has also dipped her toes in various industries. The 36-year-old multi-talent made her acting debut back in 2012 when she appeared alongside her mom in Mighty Fine, and since then, she’s lined her resume with films like Falcon Song (2014), Ocean’s Eight (2018) and most recently, The Devil and the Daylong Brothers (2025), as well as series like Mad Men.
Though her work on the screen is impressive, her skills as a musician are what set her apart from her siblings and parents. Known by her stage name Rainsford, you may have heard songs such as “2 Cents,” “Love Me Like You Hate Me” or “Crying In the Mirror.”
Justin Qualley
Unlike his younger sisters, the eldest of the Qualley bunch, Justin, remains largely out of the limelight. Andie MacDowell’s 38-year-old son is her first-born, and he and his family live in Montana, where he earns a living as a real estate agent. He and his wife welcomed their first child back in 2023, making MacDowell a first-time grandma. While he might not be acting in blockbusters or showing off his musical talents, he’s an important member of the bunch!
