You Know Her From Hallmark! Inside ‘Landman’ Star Kayla Wallace’s Journey From Sweet to Powerful
From Hallmark romances to fierce 'Landman' lawyer—her inspiring Hollywood journey is so dreamy!
If you’ve tuned into Landman over the last year, then you’ve likely been impressed by high-powered lawyer Rebecca Falcone, portrayed expertly by Kayla Wallace. However, if you found yourself wondering where else you might recognize her from, it’s because she’s certainly shone across your screen before. Prior to hitting the Taylor Sheridan oil drama, Wallace was a Hallmark starlet, appearing in films and series across the network—and even finding love on one of her Hallmark sets! Here, take a look at Kayla Wallace’s illustrious career—from Hallmark and beyond!
The early career of Kayla Wallace
Before she was stealing scenes in West Texas or shining as a leading lady on the Hallmark Channel, Kayla Wallace was putting in the work that would lead her to the career she’s built today. As a child, Wallace loved performing, and she eventually went on to hone her craft at The Canadian College of Performing Arts. In 2015, she made her on-screen debut in Descendants. Soon enough, she’d make her way onto the Hallmark scene.

In 2019, Kayla Wallace originated the role of Fiona Miller in When Calls the Heart. The Hallmark original series follows school teacher Elizabeth Thatcher as she adjusts to life in a small mining town in the early 1900s. Along the way, she’s met with countless new faces and figures, one of them being Wallace’s character of Fiona. Fiona joins the series as a telephone operator from San Francisco, and eventually, she opens her own barbershop. While the series allowed her to hone her acting skills, it’s also where she met her husband, fellow Hallmark actor Kevin McGarry.

“It’s one big family, that set,” the actress told People. “It’s such a great community that show, and we’re both very lucky that that show came into our lives. It brought us together, so we’re just very grateful for it.”
Aside from When Calls the Heart, Wallace has shined in various other Hallmark projects. The year before appearing on When Calls the Heart, the actress made her Hallmark debut in Once Upon a Prince. Later came films like Feeling Butterflies (2022) and My Grown Up Christmas List (2022) before heating things up on Landman.

Every crew member, every camera operator, everyone knows exactly what story they’re telling. There’s a reason his shows hit the way they do.”
