Lacey Chabert Shares Her Christmas Traditions & Passion for Giving Back: ‘It’s Everything’
The Hallmark star also teamed up with Raising Canes to donate 400 bikes to the Boys & Girls Club
It’s no secret that actress Lacey Chabert is the unofficial queen of Christmas thanks to her countless number of swoon-worthy holiday-centric rom-coms, including her recent Netflix hit Hot Frosty.
And now, to spread even more holiday cheer, Chabert has decided to give back. The actress recently teamed up with Raising Canes to gift over 400 bikes to the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem, New York. Lacey Chabert on giving back during the holidays
Christmas is truly all about giving back, and if you were to ask Chabert how she feels about it, she would say, “It’s everything.”
“We’re all in this life together, and to be able to be there for someone, especially during the holiday season, is something that brings us together,” the actress continued. “There’s such a unity in it and I think, however big or small, we can spread some holiday cheer to those around us..”
“It’s just so meaningful, and it’s something that I’m teaching my daughter.”

And as for why Chabert chose to help support the Boys & Girls Club in Harlem specifically, well the answer is quite simple: it’s her passion for New York City.
“I love our location in Harlem, and I really believe in the Boys & Girls Club. I think it’s wonderful, and these are great kids,” the actress said at the event. “For us to be able to do this, it’s just an absolute joy.”
“The feeling we have here today is definitely something we try to infuse into the movies, and so it’s just so nice to be standing here with all of you and getting ready to give [the kids] some bikes.”
Her favorite holiday traditions
When she’s not competing in Christmas cooking baking competitions in some small mountain town or bringing a snowman to life so he can become her perfect match, Chabert can be found doing one simple thing this holiday season: hanging out with her daughter.
“I love this time of year so much, and I try to prolong it as much as possible,” she said. “I think it lasts as long as possible. I even decorated like a month ago. I have an eight-year-old daughter, so she’s really excited about Elf on the Shelf, and we’ve already written our letters to Santa; hopefully, he’s received them. I’m sure he did.”

“And as for my favorite tradition, honestly, it’s just being with my family. It’s taking a little time to slow down a little bit and just enjoy the goodness of the holiday season in every way that we can, and be together and be surrounded by love.”
The actress then went on to say how much the bike donation event meant to her, telling founder Todd Graves that she thinks that “what you’re doing for today is really the epitome of that, and I’m so honored to be a part of it.”
Lacey Chabert’s family life
Chabert shares her daughter with her husband, David Nehdar, whom she married in 2013. The couple is fiercely private about their personal lives but they radiate love and joy during the holiday season.
