Rod Stewart’s 8 Children: Everything to Know About the Rockstar’s Kids and What Where They Are Now

Rod Stewart has carved out a stellar career for himself as a successful singer and songwriter, becoming one of the best-selling artists of all time. Over the years, the musician has been a member of four musical groups — The Steampacket from 1965-1966, Shotgun Express from 1966-1967, The Jeff Beck Group from 1967-1969 and most notably Faces, which he’s been with since 1969. Over the years, Stewart has sold over 120 million records worldwide and has been inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame twice, making him a name you will not soon forget.
Recently, a few of Stewart’s offspring showed up to support him at the 2025 American Music Awards as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Tonight, we are here as the biggest and most loving fans of our father, Sir Rod Stewart,” his daughter Ruby said. “Or as we all know him, Papa Stew. Some guys may have all the luck and some remain forever young, but our father is so much more than that.”
Aside from his massive music career, Stewart is also a father to eight children, aged 61 to 14, from five of his past (and current) romances. Get to know each of Rod Stewart’s eight children.
Sarah Streeter
The first child of the pop and rock singer was daughter Sarah Streeter in November 1963, when Stewart was about 17 or 18 years old. She was born to Stewart and former girlfriend, Susannah Boffey, but was given up for adoption and raised by another family. In her later years, Sarah’s adoptive parents died and so she and Stewart formed a relationship. In 2010, he spoke about their connection and what it’s been like getting to know her.
“She was put up for adoption when I was 17 or 18,” he shared. “I was absolutely stone broke … and so she was put up for adoption… Since her mum and dad have died, we’ve tried to come together and be close together, and it’s working out pretty well. I never felt like I was her dad, because I didn’t take her to school, change her nappies and there was no paternal thing there, but I’m trying.”
Sarah shared her point of view, explaining it was difficult to understand that her biological father was a rockstar, saying, “You can’t get away from the fact that he’s Rod Stewart, the star, but when we’re together I put that at the back of my mind.”
Kimberly Stewart
Stewart welcomed second child Kimberly, 45, with his first wife, Alana, on August 20, 1979. She followed in her mother’s footsteps, trying out acting and modeling, even landing her own reality show, Living with Kimberly Stewart. Now, Stewart is a celebrity closet organizer and has started her own company, The Realm.
“During the quarantine, I couldn’t stand looking at the chaos going on in my dad’s pantry and kitchen, so I got to work,” Stewart explained. “I posted it on my Instagram for fun, and the response and feedback were phenomenal. I got direct messages from people asking me to come and do their houses. At that point, the idea came to life, and I realized that I needed to reorganize closets professionally.”
Kimberly is also mother to daughter Delilah and recently announced she is expecting a baby boy soon.
Sean Stewart
As the third child of the rockstar and second for the couple, his son Sean, 44, was born on September 1, 1980. He, too, has attempted to make it in Hollywood, starring on a few reality TV shows including Stewarts & Hamiltons, and Sons of Hollywood. He has also started his own clothing company called Dirty Weekend.
In 2023, Sean married Jody Weintraub but the two didn’t last long, announcing in 2024 they were filing for divorce.
Ruby Stewart
Ruby, 37, the fourth child for Stewart, was born on June 17, 1987 to him and former girlfriend Kelly Emberg, a model. Ruby took after her father, carving out a successful music career for herself, forming the group The Sisterhood Band with Alyssa Bonagura. Like her older sister and mother, Ruby, too, has modeled, posing for Vogue Italia and Glamour Italia. In 2023, she welcomed her first child, son Otis, with her partner Jake Kalick.
Renee Stewart
On June 1, 1992, Stewart and ex-wife model Rachel Hunter welcomed their first child, Renee, 32, who is the musician’s fifth child. Renee has spent her time as a dance artist as well as a yoga instructor.
Liam Stewart
Stewart and Hunter had a second child together, Liam, 30, who was born on September 5, 1994. Liam followed an entirely different path than his family, becoming a professional ice hockey player for the Spokane Chiefs, Alaska Aces and the Milton Keynes Lightning.
Liam and then-girlfriend Nicole Artukovich welcomed their first child, son Louie, in May 2023. They were engaged shortly after, tying the knot a year later in May 2024, and had their second child, daughter Elsie, in March 2025.
Alastair Wallace Stewart
Years after son Liam was born, Stewart welcomed his seventh child with his current wife, Penny Lancaster. Alastair Wallace Stewart was born on November 27, 2005. The 19-year-old is currently trying to find his niche, having tried the fashion and modeling industry.
Aiden Patrick Stewart
Stewart’s eighth and youngest child, Aiden, was born on February 16, 2011 to the singer and Lancaster.
