Tim Daly, 69, and Tea Leoni, 59, Wed After 10 Years Together—Inside Their Real-Life TV Romance

It seems that happily ever afters are not only made for TV and the big screen. Madam Secretary co-stars, Téa Leoni, 59, and Tim Daly, 69, recently shared that they exchanged vows in an intimate New York wedding, and their romance is one for the books.
The actors, who first met on the set of the political drama series in 2014, have been involved in a decade-long romance and their love began on-screen. Leoni portrayed the secretary of state, Elizabeth McCord, while Daly took on the role of ethics professor Henry McCord, who also happened to be her TV husband.
The couple wed in a ceremony surrounded by family on Saturday, July 12, which was confirmed via Leoni’s rep, though the actors themselves haven’t shared any photos or information from the wedding.
When did their off-screen romance begin?
After meeting on the set of Madam Secretary, the real-life connection between Leoni and Daly was obvious and the two soon began dating. By December 2014, their romance was confirmed by media outlets, though the couple was still keeping it private.
Over the years, the couple has remained largely private about their romance, sharing few glimpses into their lives. Daly and Leoni made their first appearance as a couple in 2015 on the red carpet at the White House Correspondents’ Association annual dinner. Since then, there have been rare occasions where they appear on a red carpet or in social media posts.
Both actors were previously married before—Leoni twice and Daly once. Leoni was once married to television commercial producer, Neil Joseph Tardio Jr., from 1991 until 1995. The actress later tied the knot to actor and writer David Duchovny from 1997 until 2014. The couple had two children together: daughter West in 1999 and son Kyd in 2002.
Daly was once married as well to actress Amy Van Nostrand, from 1982 until 2010. They, too, welcomed two children during their time together—son and actor Sam in 1984 and daughter Emelyn in 1989.

Daly has been a star since the 1980s, with major roles in Wings (1990-1997), Superman: The Animated Series (1996-2000) and Private Practice (2007-2012). He’s also appeared in The Sopranos (2004-2007), Law & Order: SVU (2007) and The Mindy Project (2014).
