Today, fans are able to get their hands on The Mirror, the brand-new album by Trisha Yearwood, and while this certainly isn’t her first rodeo, the country musician having left her mark on the genre for the last several decades, it does mark a first for her in some way. Trisha Yearwood is known for hits like “She’s in Love With the Boy,” “Walkaway Joe” and “Georgia Rain,” but what sets these songs apart from those on her new album is that she didn’t write any of them. With The Mirror, Yearwood co-wrote and co-produced all 15 songs on the record, and the hands-on experience is what makes this album so special and personal.

All about Trisha Yearwood’s new album, ‘The Mirror’

The Mirror was released as a partnership between Gwendolyn Records, Trisha’s own record label, and Virgin Music Group, and prior to the album’s official release, Trisha rolled out songs like “Bringing the Angels,” “The Wall or the Way Over” and “The Mirror” to give fans a glimpse at what was in store, and many of the tracks have a personal touch to them.

When the album’s title track was released at the end of June, Trisha pulled the curtain back on the meaning behind the song. “In my experience we, as women, are so hard on ourselves,” she said in a press release. “We pick ourselves apart. But have you ever passed yourself in a mirror and, not realizing it was you, thought, ‘She looks strong, or confident’—something you’d never say about yourself? That thought inspired the song: about reaching a place where you talk to yourself like a best friend, not your worst enemy.”

Trisha says the album was ‘like therapy’

Singing the words written by another person is one thing, but singing the songs that come straight from your heart is something entirely different, and for Trisha Yearwood, digging deep to tell these stories was an invigorating process.

It seems a little cliche, but it’s like, The Mirror is truly a reflection of what I’ve been doing the last two years, and really, the whole album is kind of looking at myself,” Trisha told The Tennessean. For this album, the country songstress teamed up with co-writers Bridgette Tatum, Erin Enderlin, Sunny Sweeney and Leslie Satcher. “I really just started writing with these girls, and it was like therapy, and then everyone around me said, ‘You need to make a record of these songs,’ and here we are,” Trisha recalled.

While this brand new album is an exciting new venture for Trisha, it’s safe to say that the past few years have been full of thrilling career highlights. Back in 2024, she and her husband Garth Brooks opened up the Friends in Low Places Bart & Honky-Tonk in Nashville, TN. Back in early 2025, the country songstress earned herself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Additionally, Yearwood set out on a tour in the spring as well.
