Casting Alert! ‘The Chosen’ Is Looking for Extras—Here’s What You Need to Know Before Applying

You binge the series as each season is released on streaming and enjoy the work that creator Dallas Jenkins and the cast have put into it. But what if you could actually appear in your favorite show?
The Chosen, which is currently in production, is searching for extras to appear in the upcoming season of the drama. The series, which is gearing up to film its sixth season, follows the life of Jesus Christ and his disciples. While it had lower viewership when it first began in 2017, its popularity increased significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since become a pop culture phenomenon.

What roles are ‘The Chosen’ casting for Season 6?
Recent Facebook posts from Brock Allen Casting have revealed the series is in search of male photo doubles in Midlothian, Texas. The rate for each role is $200 for a guarantee of 12 hours and you must be available beginning Friday, 7/18. There are a few slots open and you must meet the requirements to be chosen. You can see the available casting calls here.
One of the roles available is searching for a male, with a height around 5’6” – 5’9”, with an olive skin tone and dark hair, based in Midlothian. Another role is calling for a male with a height of around 6’ to 6’1”, 165-170 lbs. Anyone interested should have olive skin tone, dark brown curly hair, brown eyes and a slim build.
Similarly, another role is calling for a male, with a height of 5’7” to 5’10”, olive skin tone, dark brown curly hair, brown eyes and a slim build. Lastly, another role asks for a male at 6’ to 6′ 2 “, 225 lbs, olive skin tone, dark brown curly hair, brown eyes and an athletic/ muscular build.
There is one final role with a rate of $100 for a guaranteed 10 hours of work. This role asks for a male, age 20-40, with an olive skin tone, an athletic build and an imposing demeanor.
How to apply to be an extra in ‘The Chosen’
If you are interested in applying for one of the above roles, you can email thechosenbacasting@gmail.com with the subject “New Photo Double.” In the text of the email, you must include the following information:
- Full name
- Contact number
- Availability for shoot dates
- City of residence
- Height and weight
- Shirt, pant and shoe sizes
- Two recent color photos — one headshot and one full-length
