Violet Affleck is Ben and Jennifer’s oldest daughter, and despite the fame of her parents, she has carved out her own path over the years. Growing up in the public eye was tough on the now-20-year-old, and Garner even recalled in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter a moment during Violet’s youth when the constant scrutiny got to be too much for the youngster.
“Violet’s hyper-articulate—she is Ben Affleck’s daughter,” shared the actress. “And she stood up on a chair in a little velvet dress, with her hair a bit back and her glasses on and she didn’t say her R’s right, and she said: ‘We didn’t ask for this. We don’t want these cameras, they’re scary. The men are scary, they knock each other over and it’s hard to feel like a kid when you’re being chased.’”
As she’s gotten older, Violet’s found her voice. Now attending Yale University, over the last few years, she’s stood in front of the United Nations where she discussed the lasting impacts of the pandemic after suffering complications from contracting the virus. Violet’s dad is also proud as can be, sharing with Access Hollywood in 2025, “She takes after her mom. She’s spectacular. And I’m very lucky that I got a great partner and we’ve got great kids. It’s the joy of my life, and I’m just very, very lucky. It makes me happy every day.”
Fin Affleck, 17
Jennifer and Ben welcomed their second child in 2009. Born Seraphina, in 2024, Fin introduced their new name during a memorial service for Jennifer’s father. Fin keeps a relatively low profile, seen occasionally out and about with their mom or dad, and despite the negativity associated with raising teens, Jennifer has shared nothing but good vibes.
“They’re just so cool!” she said of her kids in a recent conversation with Marie Claire UK. “Parenting now has shifted. It’s more about parenting with a button on my mouth…You have to let them grow up and make their choices. You don’t get to control it.” She continued, saying that she’s “so proud of how they walk through the world, and proud of them for trying hard.”
Samuel Affleck, 13
The youngest of their crew at just 13, not much is known about Sam Affleck—other than the fact that he’s his father’s twin! Over the years, Ben has shared a few funny tales about his youngest, and last year, the duo attended a sneaker convention together. In a video shared to Instagram by @gotsole, Sam was seen pining over a pair of $6,000 sneakers, to which Ben replied, “That’s a lot of lawns you gotta mow there.”
In a separate chat with Access Hollywood about the viral sneaker conversation, Ben joked, “Do you have any kids? Do you have a 13-year-old? There’s always some grift.”
