‘I’ve Never Been Too Worried’: A Look at Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s Love Story
Following the CBS Sunday Morning interview, Hudson released several photos and emails on her special media accounts
North Carolina head football coach and former New England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, 73, is making headlines, but not for his team or his new book, The Art of Winning: Lessons From My Life in Football. Instead, people can’t stop talking about his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, who is 49 years younger than him.
In a recent interview with Tony Dokoupil on CBS Sunday Morning, the football coach was asked how exactly he and his girlfriend met. Hudson then said off camera, “We’re not talking about this,” and the conversation was dropped.
Two days after that, Hudson released screenshots of her boyfriend’s emails expressing how he wanted to promote his book and promised a “full statement to be released” addressing the interview. She has yet to release one as of publication.
Now the internet is ablaze, trying to figure out what’s going on in Belichick and Hudson’s relationship and why they are so secretive about their romance. Meet her and get the latest about the drama.
A look at Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson’s relationship
Belichick and Hudson met on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2021, according to TMZ. Hudson confirmed these rumors on Tuesday, April 29, by posting a photo on her Instagram story showcasing the signed book he gave her with the year 2021 written in the corner.
The pair were then spotted together in New Orleans in January 2023, before officially confirming their romance in June 2024.
“I’ve never been too worried about what everyone else thinks,” the UNC-Chapel Hill coach said in that same CBS interview. “I just try to do what I feel like is best for me, and what’s right.”
Belichick also called out Hudson in the acknowledgement section of his book, calling her “my idea mill and creative muse.”
Hudson, on the other hand, has posted several photos of her with her beau on her Instagram account, the most recent one being on April 16. “Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my twin flame,” the caption read.
Before entering into this relationship, Hudson attended cosmetology school and Bridgewater State University. While there, she helped lead the school’s cheerleading squad to an NCA Collegiate Championship in 2021. It is believed that she doesn’t have a job.
A look at where Bill Belichick’s CBS interview went wrong
Following Belichick’s CBS interview, the internet began to wonder why he couldn’t talk about how he and Jordan met. Then, to add fuel to the fire, she posted screenshots on Instagram of the alleged emails that the football coach had written to his team on April 10, weeks before the CBS interview, in which he expressed concerns over what was going to catch people’s attention regarding the book.
“This is about what I expected from the media,” Belichick reportedly wrote. “I have, at times reluctantly, gone along with the title, cover and language in the book. I am not going to be the conductor of a hype train in the book promotion—we have enough hype to work with.”
“We can expect that the ‘interviews’ and ‘podcasts’ that will supposedly drive the sales will also come from similar samples. These appearances will, no doubt, want to focus on whatever negatives they can extract from the book, and all the current events that don’t have anything to do with the book, but are most relevant to their ‘ratings’ and their agenda (which is not mine),” he continued. “That was evident when Aleirod dropped the story because we would not do current events at UNC. We’ll see how many people want to talk about the $5,000 bill for spoiled milk,’ and other entertaining & business aspects of the book.”
“I will say again, that I want this book to be presented as a look at my professional life and how I did my job on the way up to, and as the leader of an organization that grew from a $500 m franchise to an $8 b organization that played in 10 and won six Super Bowls over 25 years. This book is about how I did my job, and lessons from my 50 years in and around the NFL – not a bathroom book that highlights my mistakes,” Belichick concluded. “I have, at times reluctantly, gone along with the title, cover, and language in the book. I am not going to be the conductor of a hype train in the book promotion—we have enough hype to work with. I hope we can get on the same page in promoting the book authentically.”
Since Belichick wanted to focus on his contribution to football, Hudson could have intervened and said that they wouldn’t talk about their relationship to help him do that, but that remains unclear as of publication.
