The family we've come to love has brought over 10 films to life
There’s a reason why the films in the Fast & Furious franchise just keep on coming: people simply love them. Could it be the intense action and thrilling chases that pull people in time after time? Perhaps the dash of romance that keeps us coming back for more? Or maybe, it’s the persistent themes of family, friendship and loyalty that have made viewers consistently return to see each new installment. Whatever the magic may be behind this film franchise, we look forward to the next adventure. Here, take a look at our ranking of all of the Fast & Furious films. Do you agree with our lineup?
11. ‘Fast X’ (2023)
The most recent film in the series puts our Fast favorites up against yet another threat to their livelihoods—and there are quite a few familiar faces who bring this story to life. This film taps back into the fifth movie in the series, 2009’s Fast & Furious, with Jason Momoa bringing to life the main antagonist. The cast also includes Brie Larson and Rita Moreno. Watch it on Prime Video.
10. ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ (2006)
The third film in the series takes place almost entirely separate from the crew we came to know and love in the first two, following the story of a street racer who is sent to live with his father in Japan, where he becomes involved in the local street racing culture of his new home—but things are never drama and action free in this film franchise. Watch it on Peacock.
9. ‘Fast & Furious’ (2009)
The cast who define this franchise unite when they learn a beloved member of their crew was killed. Watch it on Peacock.
8. ‘F9’ (2021)
The crew we love reunites again to face a major threat, who just so happens to be Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) brother, played by John Cena. Watch it on Prime Video and Fubo.
7. ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’ (2019)
Two of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the action realm, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, team up in this exciting installment in the franchise to take down a superhuman opponent, played by Idris Elba. Watch it on Fubo.
6. ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ (2003)
The follow-up to the first film places Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor at the forefront as he is enlisted to take down a drug dealer. Watch it on Peacock.
5. ‘The Fate of the Furious’ (2017)
The crew goes up against Cipher, played by none other than Charlize Theron, as she attempts to push their bond to its limits. Watch it on HBO Max and Fubo.
4. ‘Fast & Furious 6’ (2013)
The group’s threat in this film includes a crew of mercenaries, and their second in command turns out to be someone the Fast team knows all too well. Rent it on Prime Video.
3. ‘Furious 7’ (2015)
The brother of a previous foe that was killed has it out for the crew, but someone offers to lend them a hand in exchange for a favor. This was Paul Walker’s final film in the series as he tragically died while it was in production. Watch it on Peacock.
2. ‘Fast Five’ (2011)
The Fast crew is in pursuit of their freedom while also going head-to-head with a Brazilian drug lord in this action-packed installment. Watch it on Peacock.
1. ‘The Fast and the Furious’ (2001)
The first film in the series sets the scene for the epic saga that would follow, and it remains in the top spot for a reason. Watch it on Peacock.
