Dunkin’ Mint Chip Coffee Is Here—But Will This Ice Cream-Inspired Brew Win Fans?
The new flavor is a dark roast with creamy mint and chocolate flavors, available for a limited time
Dunkin’ fans love a good seasonal coffee drop, from Pistachio to Brownie Batter. But this latest release might be its most controversial yet. America’s favorite coffee chain has just unveiled a limited-edition Mint Chip-flavored ground coffee, inspired by the classic ice cream flavor. While some coffee lovers may be thrilled to sip on a bold brew infused with creamy mint and hints of chocolate, others may be cringing at the thought. Because let’s be honest, mint-flavored coffee is bound to divide the masses.
Dunkin’ Mint Chip coffee arrives for a limited time
The new Mint Chip-flavored ground coffee is now available in 11-ounce bags of ground coffee and 10- and 22-count boxes of K-Cup pods for Keurig users. According to Dunkin’, this dark roast is “bold and smooth, with the taste of creamy mint and hints of chocolate chips.”
But will coffee drinkers be on board? While mint chocolate chip is a beloved ice cream flavor, mint in coffee leans a bit more towards uncharted territory. Some fans might welcome it with open arms—especially lovers of peppermint mochas. Others may insist that mint belongs in toothpaste and gum, not in their morning cup of joe.
But if mint coffee isn’t your thing, Dunkin’ has you covered with another returning favorite: Blueberry Muffin-flavored coffee. This seasonal medium roast features blueberry flavor and caramelized sugar, bringing a sweet and bakery-inspired flavor to your morning routine. Fans of this flavor describe it as smooth, slightly sweet and reminiscent of a freshly baked muffin.
Dunkin’ describes it as “ice cream in a cup”

According to Dunkin’, the new coffee was designed to be reminiscent of a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream—but in hot coffee form. The company’s official description reads:
“Melt into the refreshingly sweet flavor of mint chocolate chip ice cream when you treat yourself to a cup of Dunkin’ Mint Chip artificially flavored coffee…Its ground coffee form is easy to brew with virtually any coffee maker, so you can enjoy the great taste of Dunkin’ at home. Grab a bag of this limited-edition flavor before it melts away.”
If you want to try it, act fast—this flavor won’t be around forever. Like all limited-time offerings, Mint Chip will only be available while supplies last.
Love it or hate it, Mint Chip coffee is a bold move
Mint chocolate chip ice cream has a long history, tracing its roots back to a royal connection. It became popular thanks to its debut at the wedding of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Philips in 1973. The flavor was originally called “Mint Royale” in honor of the British newlyweds. But as beloved as it is, mint-flavored treats have always been divisive. While some people swear by minty desserts like Thin Mints and Ben & Jerry’s Mint Chocolate Cookie, others refuse to touch anything with a hint of mint.
Dunkin’ is no stranger to minty coffee flavors—the chain’s Polar Peppermint coffee, which features white chocolate and peppermint, has been a seasonal favorite for years. While reviews for that drink have been mostly positive, it’s unclear whether Mint Chip will win over the same crowd. On Dunkin’s website, fans have praised Polar Peppermint for its perfectly balanced peppermint flavor, smooth texture and sweet aroma. As of today, Mint Chip has no reviews. But if it follows in Polar Peppermint’s footsteps, it could be a hit.
Will you try the Dunkin’ Mint Chip coffee?

With mint lovers and haters always ready to defend their stance, this new Dunkin’ release might just become a hot topic (literally).
In a Reddit discussion on mint chocolate chip ice cream, both sides had strong arguments. “I always order it when out getting ice cream with family because nobody else likes it,” wrote on Reddit user in favor of the flavor. “Hate it. I love chocolate chip ice cream but mint and chocolate is gross to me,” wrote another.
