Fans of Girl Scout cookies may have recently been hit with the disappointing news that two flavors will be discontinued after this year, but now there’s something to look forward to: a new Girl Scout cookie-inspired treat! Rumor has it that the delicious flavor of one of the most popular cookies will be making its way to Wendy’s iconic Frosty menu. Keep reading to find out more about the Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty and enjoy a look back at other tasty Girl-Scout-inspired treats.

What we know about Wendy’s Girl Scouts Thin Mint Frosty

On Instagram, the account @snackolater (whose page is described as “Covering and reviewing new snacks, foods, candy, and fast food as they’re released”) had exciting news to share about a rumored Wendy’s menu item: a Thin Mints flavored Frosty.

“First—huge shoutout to @teamsupernovafb who was first to the info and follow him if you want some amazing new release info!,” the post shares. “The Girl Scouts Thin Mints Frosty will drop in February and while we’re not sure *exactly* what the Frosty consists of, here’s my speculation.”

The theories are the treat will be a chocolate mint frosty with a chocolate or chocolate mint swirl or a chocolate or vanilla frosty with a chocolate mint swirl. Whatever the chain chooses, fans will surely be thrilled about the flavor.

When and where you can get Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty

Unfortunately, little more is known about the release of the treat besides the rumor that it will hit Wendy’s restaurants across the country next month. Media outlets have been unable to receive any confirmation from the fast food chain that the dessert is in fact planned for this winter.

However, The Canton Repository in Ohio shared that a reporter “spoke with an employee at one of the local fast-food restaurants, who said that the flavor is in the works. They were unable to say when the flavor might be released.”

Customers who are eager to give the treat a try will have to wait a bit longer for details about when the Frosty will be available for tasting.

During Girl Scout Cookie Season, it’s common for restaurants and snack food companies to release special treats inspired by the classic flavors. Here’s a look back at some past and present products and limited-time menu items:

IHOP Thin Mint pancakes

In 2024, IHOP joined in the fun with its Pancake of the Month in March. The limited-time Girl Scout Thin Mints Pancakes contained four green buttermilk pancakes topped with a creamy cheesecake mousse, real pieces of Girl Scout Thin Mints and whipped topping.

Girl Scout Jello Pudding Cups

Last year, Jell-O brand released Pudding Cups inspired by popular cookie flavors: Thin Mint and Coconut Caramel. Both featured a two-pack of pudding and a mixable cookie crumb topping.

Dairy Queen Thin Mints Blizzard

The fast food chain made Girl Scout cookie fans happy in 2021 when it released its summer blizzard flavors. The Thin Mint blizzard featured cookie pieces mixed into the restaurant’s popular soft serve.

Though the treat has not made a return since then, the Dairy Queen website shows you can still get a Girl Scout Thin Mints Blizzard Treat Cake at participating locations. The description says it features: “A base layer of our world-famous soft serve, our signature fudge and crunch center, and a top layer of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies blended with cool mint and topped with chocolatey drizzle.”

Skippy P.B. Bites

Thanks to Skippy peanut butter, a variation of the cookies can be enjoyed all year round. In 2023, the brand unveiled three new variations of their P.B. bites: Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Adventurefuls. Their continued popularity has kept them on grocery store shelves since then.
