National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, June 20, and to celebrate, the beloved frozen dessert brand Dippin’ Dots is giving away a free sweet treat to people all over the country. We all have the details on what exactly this means, how you can get one and the special, one-of-a-kind add-ons only available at a variety of select locations below!
What to know about the free Dippin Dots deal
On Sunday, June 20—a.k.a National Ice Cream Day—Dippin’ Dots will be giving out free mini cups filled with their delicious beaded ice cream at 120 different locations across the United States. They will also be giving away a free collectible cup to the first 100 people at each location.
To redeem this deal, all you have to do is go to a Dippin’ Dots location nearest you and ask for the free ice cream deal. There is no additional purchase necessary.
This giveaway will only last for 2 hours, though, and you can check when it starts and which Dippin’ Dots location you live closest to here!
How Dippin’ Dots is making this year’s giveaway extra cool
If free Dippin’ Dots weren’t enough, the company—which is owned by J&J Snack Foods Corp—also announced that they would be giving away a variety of exclusive deals at places like Cinemark, Chuck E. Cheese and at the American Dream Mall Activation in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
For those who live near a Cinemark movie theater, this deal comes in the form of a free souvenir cup after you purchase some Dippin’ Dots. It begins on Thursday, July 17 and then following that, from July 20 to 27, people can enter into a social media sweepstakes competition, where they will be entered into the chance to win a Cinemark gift card and Dippin’ Dots merch prize pack.
Also happening this year is a giveaway at the beloved children’s arcade Chuck E. Cheese, which is home to the exclusive Dippin’ Dots flavor Chuck E.’s Cookie Crunch. For that one, all you have to do is get a digital coupon—available here—and then use it to get a free cup of frozen food on Sunday, July 20. The company is also hosting a sweepstakes competition from July 14 to 20, in which one person will win a year’s worth of free Dippin’ Dots at Chuck E. Cheese. You can enter here.
And for those based in New Jersey, be sure to stop by the Dippin’ Dots celebration happening on Sunday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford. There will be games, giveaways and exclusive merchandise.
Finally, for those unable to attend these events in person, Dippin’ Dots is its only in customers 20% off on July 20, as long as they use the code NICD2025 at checkout.

National Ice Cream Day is celebrated every third Sunday in July and was established by the former ice cream-loving President Ronald Reagan in 1984.
