Taco Bell’s Rumored New Menu Items Are Stirring Up Major Excitement—Here’s What To Know
Cheesy Dipping Burritos, Baja Blast Dream Freezes and Luxe Cravings Boxes are rumored to come Jan. 16
Taco Bell fans, brace yourselves: some buzz-worthy new menu items might be dropping sooner than you think. If the rumors are true, January 16 could mark the arrival of a lineup that’s bigger than a Baja Blast. Instagram fast-food sleuth @markie_devo recently shared the scoop on four potential newcomers on Monday. Whether you’re craving a cheesy, dippable burrito, or garlicky fries, it sounds like the Bell might just deliver on all fronts. So, while we all wait for official announcements (and start planning drive-thru orders), here’s what to know about the Taco Bell new menu items coming this month.
The Taco Bell new menu offers a fresh spin on fan-favorites

Let’s talk about the return of a beloved classic—Nacho Fries—but with a garlicky twist. The rumored Steak Garlic Nacho Fries take the chain’s cult-favorite crispy fries and top them with a brand-new garlic sauce, alongside juicy steak. It’s not the first time Taco Bell has experimented with toppings for its famous fries. From the spicy Steak Chile Verde Nacho Fries earlier this year to collaborations with Truff’s and Yellowbird for limited-time sauces, the brand knows how to keep things interesting. Fans frustrated by the fries’ sporadic appearances on the menu might just have a new reason to celebrate.
Two new Baja Blast Dream Freezes
Baja Blast devotees, you’re in for some fresh sips this winter! It seems Taco Bell may be introducing two new Dream Freeze flavors: original Baja Blast and a strawberry twist. While details about the Dream Freeze remain under wraps, we’re wondering what sets it apart from the chain’s existing Baja Freeze varieties. Could it be a dreamy, creamy texture? A unique flavor infusion? With a history of adding fun extras like candy confetti to their frozen drinks, expectations are high.
Cheesy dipping burritos: The star of the show?
Midwest diners got a sneak peek of the Cheesy Dipping Burritos last summer during a regional test in Detroit, and the buzz was immediate. Customers could choose between steak, Cantina Chicken or ground beef, paired with one of three dipping sauces: nacho cheese, sour cream or chipotle. While ground beef may have lost the popular vote, the steak and chicken options appear to be set for the launch. If the rumors are true, these burritos are coming our way a week earlier than originally expected.
What didn’t make the cut (yet) on the Taco Bell new menu
It’s worth noting one test item that didn’t seem to make it out of its trial phase: Crunchwrap Sliders. Tested in Akron and Cleveland, Ohio, these mini versions of the iconic Crunchwrap Supreme earned plenty of love from local diners but don’t appear to be part of this upcoming rollout. Here’s hoping Taco Bell gives them another shot in the future!
Taco Bell launches Luxe Cravings Boxes for every budget
In addition to the rumored new menu items, Taco Bell confirmed on Tuesday the launch of its Luxe Cravings Boxes in $5, $7 and $9 tiers. Also available January 16, these value-packed boxes will stay on the menu through early June.
The $5 Classic Luxe Cravings Box includes a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists and a medium fountain drink. The $7 Supreme Luxe Cravings Box includes a Chicken Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Crunchy Taco, chips with nacho cheese sauce and a medium drink. For those looking for something new, the $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box features a rotating innovative menu item, along with a Doritos Locos Tacos or Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists and a medium drink.
To sweeten the deal, Taco Bell is also offering exclusive in-app discounts for rewards members, including its Manifestmas promotion, where sharing your 2025 goals unlocks rewards like two Cravings Value Menu items for the price of one. Plus, the Delivery Lover’s Pass, available through January 12 for $5, gives members 30 days of $0 delivery fees.
What fans are taco(ing) about on social media

While Taco Bell has yet to confirm these rumors, some fans are already counting down the days. “OH MY GOODNESS!!!!” exclaimed one excited fan in the Instagram comments section. Another humorously shared what they planned on ordering: “Let me get 6 steak dipping burritos and 2 large Baja strawberry freeze.”
However, others weren’t too impressed with the new items. “Dang they really missed me with this whole drop,” one user wrote, while another criticized the one-sauce limit per order: “ONE SAUCE PER ORDER is shameful.” Most mourned the removal of past favorites such as the Baja Blast Pie or the Chipotle Melts. Others worried about whether the chain would keep the recently added Crispy Chicken Nuggets. Devo has since confirmed they won’t be.
