With fall officially here, you can usually find me watching reruns of my favorite cooking shows in my free time. There’s nothing like watching someone bake a fresh apple pie or hearty soup on TV—you can almost smell it through the screen! But who better to inspire cozy cooking than Ree Drummond, a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman? After all, you could say living on a ranch is all about comfort (and beautiful fall foliage). Her heartwarming meals have become my go-to’s for family and friend gatherings or just to treat myself. So I decided to put together some of my seasonal favorites. From pumpkin-packed desserts to warm bowls of soup, here are eight of The Pioneer Woman’s best fall recipes that will make you fall.

I’ve made all of these recipes over the years, and I have to say they were all crowd-pleasers.
1. Pumpkin gingersnap cheesecake
This dessert is the epitome of fall indulgence. Featuring a rich pumpkin cheesecake base with a gingersnap and pecan crust, Ree adds a special touch with her homemade salted caramel sauce. “Not only is it yummy on the cheesecake, but it’s also good to drizzle over the other pies that people are bringing,” says Ree. For a finishing touch, she suggests adding a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of chopped pecans.
2. Perfect potato soup

As the weather cools, there’s nothing more comforting than a big bowl of soup. And Ree’s creamy potato soup is like chicken soup’s older sibling. It’s not too thick and not too thin—just right for a cozy evening. Ree adds a flavorful twist by mixing in bacon and cheese, making it an irresistible slurpy favorite.
3. Caramel apple pie
Ree’s caramel apple pie takes the classic dessert up a notch. “This one has a crumb topping and it’s drizzled with caramel sauce at the end, so it pretty much takes apple pie to new level,” says Ree. It’s an ideal pie for Thanksgiving or any fall celebration. Trust me, your kitchen will smell heavenly.
4. Sunday night stew
For those evenings when you want something hearty and filling, this beef stew is the answer. Slow-cooked with tender beef, vegetables and Ree’s special seasonings, it’s a classic comfort food that uses up all your leftovers in the fridge. Serve it with mashed potatoes or over buttery noodles for the ultimate fall meal.
5. Apple crisp

There’s nothing quite like a warm apple crisp fresh from the oven. Ree’s version combines juicy, spiced apples with a crispy oat topping. It’s simple to make but tastes like a celebration of fall with every bite. Top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for pure autumn bliss.
6. Broccoli cheese soup

Perfect for chilly fall nights, Ree’s broccoli cheese soup is a creamy, cheesy delight. She even serves it in a hollowed-out bread bowl for an extra cozy touch. It’s an easy way to get your greens in, and it’s sure to become a family favorite.
7. Pumpkin cinnamon rolls

Who can resist a sweet breakfast on a fall morning? Ree turns cinnamon rolls into a fall treat by infusing the dough with pumpkin purée and a blend of warm spices. The rolls are generously filled with a buttery cinnamon-sugar mixture and topped with a creamy, tangy cream cheese frosting. “As the rolls sit, it’s gonna settle down into the crevices,” adds Ree. And don’t forget the chopped pecans!
8. Fall chicken skillet
Ree chicken skillet offers a cozy, one-pan meal packed with seasonal vegetables like butternut squash, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. This hearty dish is cooked in a cast-iron skillet, bringing together rich, savory flavors with spices like smoked paprika, cumin and chili powder. It’s easy to make, colorful and perfect for a family dinner.
