Blaring alarm clocks that get your heart racing the moment your eyes open each morning? No thank you. In recent years, many sleepers have traded those jarring sirens and hard-to-find snooze buttons for gentler wake-up options that mimic sunrise and use soft sounds instead of shrieks. One popular pick is Hatch’s line of devices, like the Restore 3 and Restore 2, which pair calming sleep sounds with gradually brightening light and a screen-free design so you’re not grabbing your phone first thing. Now the brand is leaning into fandom, teaming up with Outlander for a Sassenach-inspired upgrade just in time for the show’s Season 8 premiere in March.
Outlander first hit screens back in 2014 on Starz, and the television adaptation of the hit book series by Diana Gabaldon has been pulling us in year after year. Last January, the show’s seventh season concluded, and since then, fans have been awaiting the eighth and final installment of Outlander, premiering on March 6 on […]

Hatch x ‘Outlander’ collab is perfect for fans of the series
In addition to features like sleep sounds, a bedside light, a dimmable clock and sunrise alarm, the Hatch Restore 3 alarm clock also comes with 30 days of Hatch+, a subscription service that includes exclusive sleep sounds, lighting features, stories and more for $4.99 a month. And now, an Outlander addition is sure to make your nighttime and morning routines a whole lot better. Beginning today, on your Hatch Restore 2 and 3 alarm clocks, you can enjoy the sound of the Outlander theme song, “The Skye Boat Song,” performed by Bear McCreary, featuring Raya Yarbrough, as an alarm and cue through Hatch+.
There’s something to be said about a series that premiered over a decade ago and still maintains a fanbase that’s just as loyal as they were when the first episode hit screens—and it’s safe to say Outlander has done something right for the love to last this long. Recently, Starz shared that Outlander’s eighth and final season is […]
With the new collab, you can begin your mornings with the soothing sound of the show’s signature song paired with the Sassenach Sunrise light feature, which promises to kick off your day with the warm, comforting light of the Scottish dawn. At night, wind down with the theme song cue (a visual and audio reminder that lets users know that it’s time to start winding down your day) and pair it with the Fraser’s Ridge cue light. The Hatch Restore 3 is available for purchase for $169.99, but if you aren’t sure about the price, you can begin with a 30-night trial.

‘Outlander’ theme song backstory
One of the most beloved television theme songs, the Outlander theme song is a Scottish folk song called, “The Skye Boat Song.” The lyrics were originally written in the 1800s by Sir Harold Boulton and later altered by Robert Louis Stevenson. Bear McCreary arranged the tune for the show’s theme, with the lyrics sung by his wife, Raya Yarbrough. Yarbrough sings, “Sing me a song of a lass that is gone/Say, could that lass be I?/Merry of soul she sailed on a day/Over the sea to Skye/Billow and breeze, islands and seas/Mountains of rain and sun/All that was good, all that was fair/All that was me is gone.” The lyrics tell the story of Bonnie Prince Charlie, who escaped to Skye, the Scottish island, after he was defeated in 1745’s Jacobite rising—though its words represent the journey of Claire rather perfectly.
When does ‘Outlander’ come out?
The eighth and final season of Outlander premieres on March 6 on Starz, giving fans one last chance to journey with Claire and Jamie. And super fans of the show will love the new Hatch features, which will bring a touch of the Scottish Highlands into your daily routine!.
