Baked Artichoke Dip Recipe: The Ultimate Creamy + Savory Snack

There’s nothing like a warm dip to serve to a crowd — and this Baked Artichoke Dip recipe is sure to earn rave reviews! It uses a shortcut of chive-and-onion cream cheese, which provides the base with a creamy consistency and pungent flavor. Then, the room temperature cream cheese is combined with mayonnaise, marinated artichoke hearts and other ingredients before it’s baked. While in the oven, the dip becomes bubbling and golden brown. This delicious spread is served with wonton chips as they’re a thin yet crispy dipper. But, you can swap them with regular tortilla chips or slices of toasted bread. Additionally, a few dashes of hot sauces or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes are perfect for giving this dip a spicy kick. Ingredients

  • 1 (7.5 oz.) cont. chive-and-onion cream cheese, at room temp.
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¾ cup shredded fontina cheese, 3 oz.
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbs. Italian-seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 2 (12 oz.) jars marinated artichoke hearts, drained, chopped
  • Wonton chips (optional)

Instructions

Heat oven to 350°F. Coat 6-cup baking dish with cooking spray. In medium bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, 1⁄2 cup fontina cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and 1⁄4 tsp. pepper; stir until evenly blended. Stir in chopped artichoke hearts.

Transfer artichoke mixture to baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1⁄4 cup fontina. Bake until golden and bubbly around edge, 35-40 min. If desired, broil until golden, about 2 min. and serve with wonton chips (see recipe at right).

To make wonton chips: Cut 24 wonton wrappers in half diagonally. Coat 2 baking sheets and wonton wrappers with cooking spray. Transfer wrapper pieces to baking sheets, spacing 1" apart. Bake at 350°F until crisp and lightly browned, 6-7 min. If desired, sprinkle with salt while still warm.
