This Decadent Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake Recipe Is a Candy Lover’s Dream

Calling all chocoholics and peanut butter lovers! This cake is your dream and tastes like a giant Reese's cup.

Forget the PB&J … this is the ultimate way to eat peanut butter. Our chocolate peanut butter cake recipe features layers of chocolate cake with a creamy peanut butter center. It’s like a giant, melty Reese’s cup, but in cake form— what’s not to love? Plus, whip up a batch of glossy chocolate frosting for a classic, dripped topping. This cake makes a great centerpiece at any special occasion or whenever you need a serious dose of chocolatey, peanut buttery goodness.

For this chocolate peanut butter cake recipe, use a creamy peanut butter that’s easy to stir. Avoid using natural peanut butter that separates, as it can make the center too oily (we have a trick for preventing separation). If your peanut butter leans a bit stiff, microwave it for a few seconds to soften it up. Be careful not to overheat it though, or it will lose its flavor.
