Barbecued Chicken Tacos

Mango nectar and cider vinegar kick up the homemade barbecue sauce in our crunchy tacos packed with tender chicken and lots of fresh toppings.

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup mango nectar
  • ½ cup cider vinegar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 6 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 12 taco shell
  • Toppings, such as sour cream, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped lettuce, diced red onion and sliced scallions


  1. In large pot, combine ketchup, nectar, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder and cumin; bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 15 minutes.
  2. Toss chicken with 2 cups sauce, adding more for saucier mixture. Divide chicken mixture among taco shells. Serve with remaining sauce and toppings.
