This Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe is Simply Irresistible

Traditionally made by mashing sweet potatoes with brown sugar and melted butter, then baking it with a marshmallow topping, this dessert-like side dish is utterly delicious and easy to customize and make your own. We gave our version a twist by adding a surprising ingredient: apples. We simply sautéed apples and onion in butter until softened, then mashed the sauté with the sweet potatoes, cinnamon and half-and-half, topped it with marshmallows and baked the dish until it was toasty. The combination of the fruit, potatoes and seasonal spices, plus the caramelized marshmallow topping will having guests coming back for seconds.
