Flavor-Packed Grilled Beef ’n’ Veggie Skewers Recipe Is a Snap To Whip Up

Whether you call them kebabs or kabobs, this summer (or anytime!) dish is simply cubes of meat and veggies threaded onto skewers and grilled. And they’re super-easy to customize with you favorite protein and vegetables. Take this Grilled Beef ‘n’ Veggie Skewers recipe. It comes together with just a handful of ingredients. Plus, you can make it during the cooler months on a grill pan instead of an outdoor grill.
The key to any good skewer (or kebab) recipe is a flavorful marinade. Ours combines olive oil and soy sauce. If you like a bit of heat, try tossing in crushed red pepper flakes or a chopped jalapeño. Grilling tip: If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for about 15 minutes to prevent burning. Ingredients
- 3 Tbs. olive oil
- 3 Tbs. soy sauce
- 1 lb. sirloin steaks, cut into 1” pieces
- 3 peppers, cut into 1” pieces
- 1/2 red onion, cut into chunks
Instructions
PrintIn large bowl, whisk olive oil and soy sauce until combined; add steak, peppers and onion. Cover; chill 2 hrs.
Prepare grill for medium direct-heat cooking or heat grill pan over medium. Remove meat and veggies from marinade; discard marinade. Thread beef and veggies onto 8 skewers; cook, turning occasionally, meat is pink in center and veggies are tender, about 5 min., or until desired doneness.
