Spicy Pepperoni & Sweet Pepper Pizza Recipe Is Better Than Takeout + Perfect for a Crowd
Bake it in a sheet pan with a homemade marinara sauce!
Who’s ready for pizza night? Enjoy a slice of happiness with this pepperoni & sweet pepper pizza recipe. We love sharing new pie variations, and this one combines spicy pepperoni slices and mini sweet peppers layered over gooey mozzarella cheese. And the best part: It all starts with an easy homemade marinara sauce using crushed tomatoes, garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes. Why? Because everything takes better made from scratch! And this sauce takes only 30 minutes to make and can fill two pies, so double the fixings for a crowd or save the extra for another time.
Remember to stretch the dough along the edges of the pan and prick with a fork to release steam. If you’ve ever been frustrated with dough that doesn’t stretch like you want, here’s a tip: On a floured surface, press the dough out, then working from center out, roll until it gets slightly larger. Drape it over one loosely gripped fist. Letting the weight of the dough do the work, gently stretch it with your hands to the desired size.
