Pan-Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Bacon

Dressed up with smoky bacon, sautéed onions, and a bit of butter, this super-easy holiday side is guaranteed to please.

  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • trimmed, halved
  • chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon until crispy, about 5 min. Drain on paper towel-lined plate; coarsely chop.

In same skillet with bacon fat over medium heat, melt butter. Add Brussels sprouts, onions, and 1/3 cup of water; cover and cook until sprouts are golden brown and tender, 10 min., stirring occasionally.

Uncover skillet; cook sprouts until any liquid evaporates, 2-3 min. Season with salt and pepper to taste; toss backon back into pan. Serve immediately.
