Since these viral bags were ordered online, shoppers didn’t have a chance to see them in person until the totes arrived in the mail. Many Aldi fans took to social media to share videos of them opening the bags for the first time, and the reactions were overwhelmingly positive—and highly entertaining.
“Get the heck out of here!” one TikTok user said with a laugh after seeing the size of the bag. “I’m about to do some major shopping at Aldi!”
Another giveaway winner was stunned at just how large the bag was. “You guys, this is like the size of [my body],” she told viewers. The recipient also revealed that the bag was designed to hold up to 55 pounds, made possible by two sets of sturdy handles.
Others have even found uses for the big bag outside of major grocery shopping trips. One woman shared a TikTok video of the Aldi big bag being used for a “fill a bag sale” this past April.
“We take ‘fill a bag’ sales pretty seriously around here,” reads the caption. “Our giant Aldi bag has truly come in handy for our thrifting trips.”

How and when to buy the Aldi big bag this October
The big bag is returning this month! Starting Wednesday, October 14, you can find them in the Aldi Finds aisle of your store. Though the bags aren’t part of a free giveaway this year, each one will cost just $4.99. If you plan on doing a lot of bulk shopping, the low price will quickly make it a worthwhile purchase.
