‘Boys of Tommen’ series cast
From Bono’s son to newcomers, here’s who’s who in the Boys of Tommen series cast.
Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch

British actress Nancy Surridge is a young actress whose previous credits include two episodes of the TV series Casualty in 2019. Boys of Tommen marks her first major credit and represents her breakout role as Shannon Lynch—a key character in the first season. As a newcomer to the industry, there’s still plenty for fans to learn about her, which is what makes her casting so exciting!
Conor Sánchez as Johnny Kavanagh

Similar to his onscreen love interest Surridge, Conor Sánchez is pretty unknown in the acting universe. He’s had small roles in The Puzzle Lady (2025), Mix Tape (2025) and Faithless (2025), but playing Johnny Kavanagh in Boys of Tommen will be his biggest role to date.
James O’Donoghue as Joey Lynch

Born in San Francisco, James O’Donoghue is a 21-year-old actor best known for Fair City (2012 to 2017), Smother (2012 to 2023), Faithless (2024) and Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale (2025). He will play Shannon’s brother, Joey Lynch, who is dating Aoife Molloy. Joey is one of the main characters in the third and fourth books, Saving 6 and Redeeming 6, and we assume he’ll have plenty of screen time in the Boys of Tommen TV show as well.
Sophie McGibbon as Aoife Molloy

Sophie McGibbon is another newcomer, playing the role of Aoife Molly, a spicy, stubborn high schooler. Her previous acting credits include two shorts in 2022 and 2025.
Amelia May as Claire Biggs

Amelia May, whose only prior acting credit is 2025’s Wild Cherry, will play Shannon’s best friend Claire Biggs in Boys of Tommen. It’s a role with major potential—if the series goes on to adapt Claire and Gibsie’s book, Taming 7, May could find herself with a leading role down the line.
John Hewson as Gerard “Gibsie” Gibson

Where there’s Claire, there’s her longtime best friend Gerard “Gibsie” Gibson, who will be brought to life by Bono’s youngest son, John Hewson. Prior to Boys of Tommen, Hewson appeared in These Sacred Vows (2026) and Finnegan’s Foursome (2026). He is also expected to star in the highly anticipated sequel film Our Fault: London, which is the follow up to the 2025 drama Our Fault, later this year.
Indy Lewis as Lizzie Young

Rounding out Shannon and Claire’s friend group is Lizzie, a temperamental character who’s often at odds with the people closest to her. British actress Indy Lewis, best known for La Fortuna (2021), Industry (2020 to 2024), The Game (2025) and House of David (2025), will bring Lizzie to life .
Alex Dunne as Hugh “Hughie” Biggs

Alex Dunne will make his screen debut as Hugh Biggs, Claire’s older brother. Prior to this, Dunne, who attended the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, has mainly worked on stage. His role will mainly be a minor one in the first season, but if they adapt his and Lizzie’s story (told in book #6 Releasing 10) into a season, that could change.
Daisy Jacob as Bella Wilkinson

Johnny’s ex Bella Wilkinson will be played by actress Daisy Jacob. Her previous credits include Everything I Know About Love (2022), Tell me Everything (2024) and Boarders (2026).
Dixie Egerickx as Katie Wilmot

Hugh’s girlfriend Katie Wilmot, one of Aoife’s best friends, will be played by Dixie Egerickx, who is best known for The Secret Garden (2020), Summerland (2020) and Rich Flu (2023). As it stands now, Katie doesn’t have her own book in the series and is a background character.
“We searched far and wide, receiving over 3000 casting suggestions from across the UK and Ireland, but from the moment Nancy, Conor, James and Sophie walked into the room, it was clear we’d found something beyond special,” director Brendan Canty said in a statement, per Variety. “Each of them brings the spirit and emotional depth this story demands, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring Chloe’s world to the screen with this extraordinary young cast.”
