Celebrity or not, one thing we all have in common is an undying love for our furry friends. From pop stars to actresses and actors, these celebrities are proud pet parents to cats, dogs and everything in between. Here, take a look at a few of our favorite celebrities who totally and completely love and adore their pets.
Taylor Swift: the ultimate childless cat lady
“I have cats. I’m obsessed with them,” Taylor Swift told TIME in 2019. The international pop star has worn her cat mom status proudly, even shouting out her beloved fur babies in her hit songs from time to time (“I guess I’ll just stumble on home to my cats,” she sang on her track “Gorgeous”). Swift has three felines she calls hers—Meredith, Olivia and Benjamin, all being nods to beloved fictional characters. Meredith is in reference to Grey’s Anatomy’s Meredith Grey, Olivia references Law & Order’s Olivia Benson and Benjamin is named after none other than Benjamin Button from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).
Ree Drummond and her ranch full of floppy-eared friends
If you’ve ever tuned into an episode of The Pioneer Woman, then you’ve definitely ogled over Ree Drummond’s adorable floppy-eared friends she calls her own. A long-time lover of basset hounds, these cute-as-can-be canines call her family’s ranch their own — but there are even more pups you’re likely to see on her social media from time to time that she is mom to.
In total, Ree has seven dogs: three bassett hounds, two yellow labs, a German Shepherd and the newest addition, a pup named Shelby, whose breed has not been confirmed.

Alicia Silverstone has been a longtime animal lover — there was even a time in her life when she was living with 11 rescue dogs, she shared with PEOPLE! The Clueless (1995) actress is a proud dog mom today, and she famously keeps her pups on a plant-based diet.
“No foods go unused in my home,” Silverstone wrote on The Kind Life. “Broccoli stalks and kale stalks are blended and added to the doggy dinner deliciousness. Then—to make it irresistible—I sometimes add peanut butter, molasses, seaweed, and chia seeds. I even add a supplement on occasion to make sure they are getting all that’s needed, and when I truly don’t have time—I give them my favorite commercial dry dog food which is currently Gather.”
Demi Moore’s magical pup Pilaf

While there are many furry friends that grace Demi Moore’s home, her teeny, tiny pup named Pilaf is who she’s most often photographed with. Her one-and-a-half pound pup is the “runt of her litter,” she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “She’s a magical creature.”
