Below, we share where you can see Sklenar next—and here’s a spoiler: one of them is even a neo-Western entitled The Rescue.
Upcoming Brandon Sklenar projects
‘F.A.S.T.’

F.A.S.T. is a high-stakes procedural that follows a former U.S. special forces officer (Sklenar) after he’s recruited by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to help stop drug dealers that are protected by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Sheridan wrote the script and Ben Richardson (best known for Yellowstone) will direct.
“The breadth of Taylor Sheridan’s body of work is simply astounding and unparalleled in sheer excellence and consistent quality, and we could not be more honored to be making this film with him,” Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group’s Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “With the hugely talented director Ben Richardson behind the camera and the exceptional producing talents of Heyday Films and Bosque Ranch, we are thrilled to have such an incredible creative team bringing F.A.S.T. to the big screen.”
The cast of F.A.S.T. includes Jason Clarke, known for Zero Dark Thirty and Mudbound; Trevante Rhodes from Moonlight and Bird Box; Sam Claflin, best known for The Hunger Games and Daisy Jones & The Six; and LaKeith Stanfield, whose previous credits include Judas and the Black Messiah and Someone Great.
Rounding out the cast is Sklenar, who previously worked with Sheridan on 1923.
“This script. This character. This team,” Sklenar wrote on Instagram after the film was announced in May 2025. “So much gratitude.”
F.A.S.T. will be released in theaters on April 23, 2027.
‘Vegas: A Love Story’
Vegas: A Love Story is a romantic thriller that will star Maika Monroe, Paul Dano, Michael Shannon, Judy Greer and Sklenar. The plot will follow Dillon (Monroe), a gifted graphic designer who falls in love with Freddy (Sklenar), a welder and single father under the Las Vegas lights. But will that love be enough to protect Dillon and Freddy from legal troubles, financial issues, insane exes and more? Only time will tell.
“I’ve spent over a year in Las Vegas to write and prepare this film, a story about people living close to the edge, who don’t believe they deserve love and find it anyway,” filmmaker Ramin Bahrani told Deadline. “When you have an ensemble this extraordinary, then the film can grow from the inside out, revealing itself through the process. And a bittersweet thanks to my friend and former producer, the late Kevin Turen, for connecting me with producer Jason Michael Berman, who has believed in my vision from the very start, and to Andrea Bucko and all my incredible producers and executive producers for supporting me.”
As of publication, Vegas: A Love Story doesn’t have a release date.
‘The Rescue’

One of Sheridan’s most anticipated films is The Rescue. It will follow a popular rodeo cowboy (Sklenar) whose world is turned upside down when his daughter (Lorelei Olivia Mote) goes missing. Determined to retrieve her, the cowboy begins shooting, spying and selling parts of his soul, even when others encourage him otherwise.
The Rescue cast will include Josh Lucas, Josh Duhamel, Nick Searcy, Austin Amelio, Spencer Treat Clark and Tim Blake Nelson. It will be directed by Potsy Ponciroli, written by John Fusco and produced by Shannon Houchins and Cliff Roberts.
As of publication The Rescue doesn’t have a release date or trailer.
