In the world of Yellowstone, no story ever really rides off into the sunset—and that’s especially true for Marshals, which has officially been renewed for a second season.
The spinoff expands the world of Yellowstone by following Kayce Dutton, the youngest son of rancher John Dutton, as he trades life on the ranch for something even more dangerous: an elite unit of U.S. Marshals. It’s a hard pivot from cowboy boots to federal badges, but Kayce brings the same instincts, grit and military training from his Navy SEAL past into every case.
Alongside him are a tight-knit team of new allies, including Pete Calvin, played by Logan Marshall-Green, plus Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel) and Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos). Together, they take on high-stakes missions that blend law enforcement action with the rugged survival skills fans expect from the Yellowstone world.
With Season 2 now on the way, viewers are just as curious about the real people behind the characters as they are about the cases themselves—especially Logan Marshall-Green. Fans want to know where they’ve seen him before, how he and Luke Grimes connected off-screen and why so many people think he has a near-double walking around Hollywood.
Logan Marshall-Green’s acting credits

Born to two drama teachers in Charleston, South Carolina, Marshall-Green decided to pursue his love for acting by attending New York University’s Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts, where he received his Master’s in Fine Arts. It wasn’t long after that he gave it a real go, landing himself on TV in a few minor roles.
His very first televised role was in the hit series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2003, followed by an episode of Law & Order in 2004. By 2005, Marshall-Green was booking more consistent roles, scoring a part 24 as Richard Heller and another in the teen drama, The O.C., as Trey Atwood. It was these two roles that put his career on another level.
Marshall-Green’s breakthrough film role came in 2012 when he booked the part of Charlie Holloway in Prometheus. The actor went on to star in films including As I Lay Dying (2013), The Invitation (2015), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Upgrade (2018). More recently, you can catch the actor in Big Sky (2021-2022), Redeeming Love (2022), Carry-On (2024) and And Just Like That…(2025), with several projects on the way.
Personal life
In 2012, Marshall-Green tied the knot with actress Diane Gaeta, after crossing paths in the entertainment industry. The two welcomed a son named Tennessee. Marshall-Green also became the stepfather of Gaeta’s daughter from a previous relationship, Culla Mae, whom she had with actor Johnny Lewis.
The couple remained together until 2020, but then split—allegedly due to infidelity on Marshall-Green’s part, according to the divorce filing. Marshall-Green has been in a relationship with model and actress Monica Ollander since 2021.
Marshall-Green and Luke Grimes friendship

The brotherhood between Marshall-Green’s character and Grimes’ character isn’t just for show. The actors really took the time to become friends ahead of filming and the two have only had kind words for each other. Marshall-Green shared how the first bonded when meeting, explaining Grimes’ personality made it easy.
“Luke’s pretty easygoing,” Marshall-Green said. “He disarms you when you meet him. He’s a very grounded, down-to-earth guy. We took a few hikes right away, just to meet each other. But a lot of that just is being easy to work with, and that Luke has in spades.”
Not only did Marshall-Green credit Grimes for his easygoing personality but he also said the experience of the show made it easy to form a tight bond.
Marshall-Green shared in an interview, “He [Grimes] makes it easy for anyone to have a natural rapport. And he made it easier for me because we’re all there because of him, but he really allowed the relationship to grow…He’s just an easygoing guy. Finding a brotherhood is also really easy when you’re just thrown to the wolves like we were. We were completely shot out of a cannon.”
Fans confuse Marshall-Green with this actor

Logan Marshall-Green is a fan-favorite on Marshals but the actor is often confused for the British actor, Tom Hardy, thanks to their strikingly similar appearances. Not only do the two resemble each other, but they are both known for their popular rugged on-screen roles. But while many think the two actors look like twins, Marshall-Green already is a twin in real life with his brother, Taylor.
“I’d be honored to be in the same sentence as Tom Hardy,” Marshall-Green said when someone commented on their resemblance. “I’ve been a twin since the day I was born–fraternal, but we look a lot alike–so I’ve already been mixed up with another man my entire life.”
