When it comes to “Lisa Effin’ Rinna”—her words, not ours—most people know her as either a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, soap opera star or just overall cultural icon. They also might know her as the wife of actor Harry Hamlin and mother to models Amelia Gray Hamlin and Delilah Belle Hamlin—who, according to her, haven’t seen any of her work. What they might not know is how down-to-earth and real she is.

In a recent conversation with Woman’s World, the 62-year-old revealed that not only does she love to eat at the fast food restaurant Sonic, but she’s also teaming up with them to help launch their new All-American SONIC Smasher and $6 Meal.

“I love smash burgers. So when they said, ‘Hey, do you want to do this?’ I was, like, ‘I love smash burgers, and I love Sonic’s Cherry Limeade.’ So, it just felt right,” Rinna said.

Along with the campaign, she also gave Woman’s World an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at both her acting days and her Traitors days as well. To discover what she had to say, keep reading.

From 2010 to 2023, Rinna was a fan-favorite Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member. Not only did she bring the drama, but she also gave the franchise an insane amount of memes and viral moments—including the iconic quote, “It’s wackadoodle time.”

“I think my reality television has led me to so many great things, and I’m grateful for that. All the funny memes and moments on Housewives, it was all good,” Rinna said, before sharing some other reality TV highlights. “Dancing with the Stars was a pivotal time for me. I love that show. It was life-changing for me. I was then able to go and do Chicago on Broadway and play Roxie Hart because I was able to dance. So that led to that.”

Rinna’s most recent reality TV stint was on the hit show Traitors, where she sadly got booted off halfway through the season.

“I was surprised I lasted that long, to be honest. I thought I would have been booted off a lot earlier. I got to seven episodes, and I got to wear the couture gown at the banquet, and I got to be the killer. I just had the time in my life there and couldn’t ask for anything more,” she said. “The whole experience was like a fever dream. That is the best way to describe it.”

Lisa Rinna looks back at her acting career

Before becoming a housewife, Rinna was a very successful TV actress. She starred in things like Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place and even Veronica Mars. In the latter, she played Lynn Echolls, wife of actor Aaron Echolls (Harry Hamlin) and mother to Veronica Mars’ (Kristen Bell) eventual husband, Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring).

“There are really strong Veronica Mars fans, and I loved playing Lynn Echolls so much. That was just a great role and a great moment,” Rinna said.

“I don’t think they’ve seen Days of Our Lives. They’ve seen Housewives, of course, but they don’t really know Harry’s or my career,” she continued. “They’ve heard about them, but they haven’t really seen them much. And nor do they care. They really don’t.”
