This year, the most nominated artist at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, taking place on Sunday, is none other than 28-year-old songstress Megan Moroney, who rose to fame thanks to tracks like “Tennessee Orange,” which grew in popularity on social media and ultimately led her to a wildly successful career in the country music world. Female Artist of the Year

Song of the Year

Megan Moroney’s “Am I Okay?” is nominated for Song of the Year, and the fan-favorite track could earn her two awards in this category: one as an artist and one as a songwriter. 

Single of the Year

Telling the story of an ex who calls wanting you back after months apart, Megan’s “Six Months Later” is nominated for Single of the Year.

Music Event of the Year

Megan Moroney teamed up with Kenny Chesney on the track “You Had To Be There,” earning them a nod in this category amongst some of country’s biggest names. 

Visual Media of the Year

Though the award for Visual Media of the Year was already given to Stephen Wilson Jr. for “Cuckoo,” Megan was nominated for “6 Months Later,” where she was also recognized as a director. 

Artist-Songwriter of the Year

Megan Moroney has been earning new fans day after day with her one-of-a-kind voice and honest lyrics, earning her an award for Artist-Songwriter of the Year.
