You just might get to see their faces together again! Rod Stewart has announced he and former Faces band member, Ronnie Wood, will be reuniting on stage for the upcoming Glastonbury Festival this year. Although the crew hasn’t performed together since the 2020 BRIT Awards, it seems they will be getting the band back together for this performance.

Stewart was recently inquired about whether he speaks to his old bandmates often, to which the singer replied, “Woody, I do [speak to] a lot,” Stewart said. He added, nonchalantly, “Just recently, ’cause we’re gonna do Glastonbury together.”

Former band member Kenney Jones was also asked about a potential reunion at Glastonbury a while back, but he kept his answer succint. “I’m keeping that very quiet,” he remarked.

Stewart has been set to headline the Sunday show on June 29th since the lineup was announced back in March, along with artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan. However, Stewart will be performing in the Legends slot at the festival, which happens to be one of the most prestigious slots reserved for accomplished musicians.

It’s a great honour,” Stewart said of receiving the opportunity. “It’s going to cost me a fortune to do it – $300,0000,” he explained. However, the artist was extremely grateful to take on the performance time. “But I don’t care if it cost me $1million, I would have done it. This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour.”

A new Faces album may be in the works

The reunion may not come as a surprise to fans; however, as there have been whispers of a potential album from the group, something they’ve been waiting years for. 1973 was the last time the band released a full-length album, making this over a 50-year wait.

Just last month, Jones revealed the group had been working on new music and that they had “about 11 tracks” completed.

Not all of them are going to be right [for the album], but most of them are good,” Jones said. “I can’t see it coming out this year. But I can see it coming out next year,” Kenney Jones shared in April. “Everyone’s doing different things. We do little snippets [of recording] here and there. Then all of a sudden, The Stones are out [on tour] again, Rod’s out again…”

Considering each of the band members has their own project going on— Wood as a member of The Rolling Stones and Stewart working on solo work—it may be some time before their musical creation is in your hands, but it will likely be worth the wait.

Inside Rod Stewart’s life and career recently

Life has been pretty sweet for the former lead vocalist of Faces as he recently received the recognition of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards. The artist was supported by five of his eight children—Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renee, and Liam—who also helped to present the award to him.

Tonight, we are here as the biggest and most loving fans of our father, Sir Rod Stewart,” his daughter Ruby said. “Or as we all know him, Papa Stew. Some guys may have all the luck and some remain forever young, but our father is so much more than that.”
