When the holidays roll around, two things fans can’t get enough of are NFL football and Hallmark movies—and now, the two are joining forces again. Following last year’s hit Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Hallmark is teaming up with the Buffalo Bills for a brand-new Christmas romance film. Is it too soon to start counting down the days until Christmas? Here, everything we know about the Buffalo Bills Hallmark movie!

What is ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ about?

In true Hallmark fashion, expect love against the backdrop of Highmark Stadium! The NFL has shared that the entirety of the film will be shot around the Buffalo area, including the stadium in which the Bills play, and will tell a heartwarming story of two families whose love for the New York football team has brought them together over the years. Holiday Touchdown will revolve around Morgan and Gabe. Morgan, a doctor, and Gabe, VP of Stadium Development for the Bills, come from two neighboring families with a mutual love for the team. Clear to their friendly families is the love Gabe has long held for Morgan, and when the two team up to uncover the identity of someone who helped out Morgan’s family years ago in their time of need, the two grow closer.

“The incredible success of last year’s partnership with the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs far exceeded our expectations,” said Hallmark’s chief brand officer Darren Abbott in a statement per NFL. “We are thrilled to team up with the Bills this year for a new holiday movie filled with heart, family and the classic Hallmark storytelling that our fans know and love, all set against the special community the Bills franchise has nurtured throughout its storied history.”

Who will star in ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’?

Bringing to life this exciting and cozy romance is none other than Hallmark sweetheart Holland Roden, known for her roles outside of the Hallmark sphere in shows like Teen Wolf. On the network, you’ve probably seen her in films such as Five Gold Rings and Making Waves. Opposite Roden, playing the part of Gabe, is none other than Matthew Daddario, known for his role in the hit series Shadowhunters. And that’s not all! Also joining this cast is Tony Danza, Steve Schirripa, Tracy Pollan and Caroline Aaron!

While familiar Hollywood faces are lining this cast, a few Buffalo Bills superstars are also joining the crew bringing this film to life! Head coach Sean McDermott will be making his Hallmark debut, as well as RB Ray Davis, WR Joshua Palmer, Safety Damar Hamlin, DT DeWayne Carter, OT Dion Dawkins, LS Reid Ferguson and TE Dawson Knox, to name a few.

We are so excited to have a stellar ensemble cast that is truly an acting dream team,” said Samantha DiPippo, Senior Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Media, in a statement. “The addition of Coach McDermott along with the current Bills players and alumni gives us the winning combination to bring to life this heartwarming story that celebrates the bonds of family and community and, of course, there’s romance with a touch of Christmas magic.”

A Bills player shares a special message about the film

The Bills’s very own Damar Hamlin shared a personal message announcing the news. What’s up, everybody? Good morning. It’s Damar Hamlin here from the Buffalo Bills with an early Christmas present. We have big news today. Hallmark Channel and the NFL have selected the Buffalo Bills in the 2025 Countdown to Christmas movie draft,” he states in the video posted on social media.

What was Hallmark’s Chiefs movie like?

To celebrate the 2024 holiday season, Hallmark teamed up with the NFL for the first time with their film Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Starring Hunter King and Hallmark hunk Tyler Hynes, the movie told a heartwarming love story of a die-hard Chiefs fan, Alana, who’s hoping to secure the title of “Fan of the Year.” Meanwhile, Hynes starred as the Director of Fan Engagement who must determine whether she and her family are deserving. As the two spend time with one another and get to know each other, sparks fly against the backdrop of Arrowhead Stadium.

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story featured a handful of familiar faces a part of the Chiefs family, including Donna Kelce, mother to the Chiefs’ own Travis Kelce, as well as head coach Andy Reid and players like Trey Smith, Mecole Hardman Jr., Clyde Edwards-Helaire and George Karlaftis.

When is ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ coming out?

At this point in time, there isn’t a premiere date, however, fans can expect it as part of the network’s Countdown to Christmas lineup. Being that the film just began production, we’re hoping to have more information very soon!
