Garth Brooks has long been an influential figure in the country music world, known for singalong hits like “Friends in Low Places” and “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” and this summer, he’s taking his talents out on the road yet again with the “Blame It All On My Roots” tour, stopping at an arena near you. Here, everything to know about Garth Brooks’ tour kicking off in August, including how to get tickets and what fans can expect.

Garth Brooks kicks off an arena tour in 2026

Earlier today, Garth Brooks announced his tour would begin later this summer. At this time, only two shows have been announced. On August 21 and 22, he will bring his hits to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. If you’re curious as to why this tour only consists of two dates so far, folks on Reddit have speculated that more dates will be announced over time.

“He announced back-to-back dates at a single venue, which is exactly how he did it last time, announcing additional shows as tickets sell while (literally) watching sale counts minutes after they go on sale,” wrote one Reddit user. “It’s the best approach to touring that I’ve ever seen from someone at his level. It kills scalpers if an artist is going to add new shows at the same venue if the first one sells out immediately,” chimed in another.

The iconic Drum Pod returns

The “Blame It All On My Roots” tour will pay homage to Brooks’ 1996 tour in a unique way: The Drum Pod—a structure that surrounded his drummer and became synonymous with his shows during this era—will be making its return!

In a post shared to his Instagram, that already has 25,000 likes, Brooks shared this exciting tidbit. “Oh, yeah. How long has it been old girl?,” he said while gradually revealing the enclosure. “Thirty years? A little dusty. You know what? Maybe it’s time. Maybe it’s time we put you back to work.”

“Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box,” Garth said in his announcement. “The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal.”

With a tour ahead, Garth recently looked back on his career in conversation with The Times. Even though I’ve sold a lot of records, I’m still a dreamer. That’s my job.”
