Starbucks’ frappuccino is getting an upgrade just in time to beat the heat!
Everyone knows and loves the iconic Starbucks Frappuccino, but it’s about to get a whole lot cooler. Starbucks announced three new flavors, set to hit stores on July 8.
3 cool new Starbucks Frappuccino flavors—all with cold foam
The new Strato (Italian for “layer”) Frappuccino will come in three fresh flavors: The Brown Sugar Strato, The Strawberry Matcha Strato and The Salted Cream Mocha Strato.
Each of the new drinks is topped with Starbucks’ cold foam, instead of the whipped cream usually used to garnish the frappuccinos. The cold foam addition isn’t all fans are excited for; their favorite drinks are also getting a whole new twist!
The Strawberry Matcha Strato is a blend of unsweetened matcha, classic syrup, milk, ice and finished with strawberry cream cold foam. Based on one of the most popular drinks of the summer, the Strawberry Matcha Strato is sure to be a fan favorite.
The Brown Sugar Strato–similar to the fan-favorite Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso drink–is a Frappuccino roast coffee, milk and ice blend topped with brown sugar cold foam and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
The Salted Cream Mocha Strato is mocha sauce, coffee, milk and ice blended and topped with salted caramel cream cold foam and caramel drizzle.
When you can get a hold of the new Strato Drinks at Starbucks
The new Strato drinks come 30 years after the Frappuccino was introduced in 1995. They will be available for a limited time in all Starbucks stores starting on Tuesday, July 8, but the new drinks aren’t the only addition to the menu this month!
In a June 10 press release, Starbucks announced it’ll be bringing back raspberry syrup for a limited time. Raspberry syrup was a fan favorite before it was discontinued in 2023. Coffee drinkers added the syrup to white mochas, lemonades and more. After removing the syrup to make room for other menu innovations, fans pushed the coffee chain to add it back to the menu. Now, they can enjoy the flavor they love and missed!
Other discontinued items are making an appearance on the summer menu. This May, Starbucks announced that they will be adding the Summer-Berry Refresher, Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher and Summer Skies Drink, which were first featured in May 2024.
The drinks all feature raspberry, blueberry and blackberry flavors with boba and raspberry-flavored pearls. The Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher mixes these flavors with Starbucks’ popular lemonade while the Summer Skies Drink is blended with coconut milk.
On the food menu, the Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop, strawberry cream cake mixed with buttercream and dipped in chocolate, also made its debut.
