Season 2 Is Coming! Catch up on Where Every ‘Landman’ Character Was Left in Season 1
The new season drops Nov. 16—here’s where every character stood after that wild finale
Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan’s hit TV show Landman officially has a release date! That’s right, oil fixers, Tommy and the rest of the Norris family are going to be returning to Paramount+ on November 16. As of publication, it’s unclear if all the episodes will drop all at once or air one by one like Season 1, but either way, we can’t wait for all the Texas drama.
Since it’s been over eight months since Season 1 ended, it’s easy to forget what happened to all of our favorite characters. Below, we round up where every Landman character landed after the explosive first season finale. Read on for more. (Head’s up: there are Season 1 spoilers ahead!)
Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton)

The Season 1 finale was truly a wild one for Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton). Not only did he get back together with his ex-wife Angela (Ali Larter) and take over his boss’s oil company, but he was also kidnapped and tortured by the drug cartel. Thankfully, he was rescued by a man named Gallino (Andy Garcia), who claims that he wants to be friends with Tommy. Both this and Tommy’s new job are expected to be major plot points for Season 2.
Angela Norris (Ali Larter)

Throughout Season 1, viewers see Angela bond with both her daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) and her ex-husband Tommy. They did not, however, see her and her son Cooper (Jacob Lofland) reconcile, but that could always happen in Season 2. Also happening for Angela in Season 2? Her job at the senior living center, which we have to admit was one of our favorite parts of the previous season.
Ainsley Norris (Michelle Randolph)

Like a lot of high school seniors, Ainsley’s problems in Season 1 are mainly ones of the heart. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Dakota Loving (Drake Rodger), in the first couple of episodes, she then meets a man named Ryder (Mitchell Slaggert) and the two become the high school “it couple”—something that will most likely continue in Season 2. Also potentially happening in Season 2? A much-needed reunion with her brother Cooper, with whom she barely interacted in Season 1.
Cooper Norris (Jacob Lofland)

In Season 1, Cooper Norris is determined to follow in his father Tommy’s footsteps and become a “Landman.” To do this, he secures a lease that would help him consolidate several oil drilling rings and parcels, which eventually could earn him some money—some of which will probably be used to spoil his new girlfriend Ariana (Paulina Chávez).
Monty Miller (Jon Hamm)

Sadly, in Season 1, Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) died from a heart attack, meaning that he won’t be in Season 2—unless it’s via flashback. He will be remembered by his wife Cami Miller (Demi Moore) and colleague Tommy Norris, with whom he left his multi-million dollar oil business to.
Cami Miller (Demi Moore)

Following the death of her husband, Monty, Cami meets with Tommy to go over what his death means for her and her family’s finances. Eventually, they decided that Cami would be allowed to work for the oil company and have control over her money, both of which will probably impact her character’s journey in Season 2.
