The Little House on the Prairie reboot cast has officially been revealed—and fans of the beloved frontier saga are buzzing with excitement. The Netflix series will bring a fresh take to the western series, based on the classic books by Laura Ingalls Wilder and inspired by the original 1970s TV show.

This long-anticipated project is being developed by Dana Fox and Susanna Fogel, alongside executive producer Trip Friendly of Friendly Family Productions, which holds the rights to the original show. Also involved is Joy Gorman Wettels, known for her work on 13 Reasons Why, who’s producing under her Joy Coalition banner.

While the core cast members have been set for some time, the reboot recently added a few more faces to the lineup. The new additions to the cast include Barrett Doss, Mary Holland, Michael Hough, Kowen Cadorath, Thosh Collins, Maclean Fish and Rebecca Amzallag.

Barrett Doss, who you may recognize from Station 19, will star as Emily Henderson, a sweet woman who runs the General Store and takes in the orphaned boy, Caleb. Mary Holland has been cast as the town busybody, Jemma James, and wife of Eli James, who will be played by Michael Hough.

Kowen Cadorath will take on the role of Caleb, a young orphaned boy. Thosh Collins is starring as Louis, the cousin of White Sun. Maclean Fish will portray the boyishly handsome Adam Scott while Rebecca Amzallag will play Lacey Aubert, the widowed outcast who owns a bar on the edge of town.

Although it might be difficult to picture anyone but Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls or Melissa Gilbert as Laura, this new cast is going to knock your socks off. Meet the stars of the Little House on the Prairie reboot!

Alice Halsey may only be a mere 10 years old, but she is already being launched into stardom. Halsey is taking on the role of Laura Ingalls, which was previously held by Melissa Gilbert in the original series, who also served as the series narrator.

You may have seen Halsey before in shows such as Lessons in Chemistry (2023), Night Court (2023) or Days of Our Lives (2025). The young actress can also be heard in the Disney Jr. series, Kindergarten: The Musical (2025), alongside Suits alum Gina Torres.

Halsey showed her love for booking the role on her Instagram account, which is run by her parents. The caption reads, “I love all of the Little House books so much, and I’m so excited and grateful to get to bring Laura to life!”

Luke Bracey has been starring in our favorite romance films for years and now he’s taking on the coveted role of Charles “Pa” Ingalls in the Little House reboot. You might recognize the Australian actor from The Best of Me (2014), the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel. The actor has also shone in Monte Carlo (2011), Point Break (2015), Holidate (2020) and Elvis (2022).

You may not recognize her yet, but Crosby Fitzgerald is a name you won’t want to forget. The actress is officially taking on the iconic character of Caroline “Ma” Ingalls in the Little House reboot, a role that was previously taken by Karen Grassle. Fitzgerald has previously appeared in Abbott Elementary (2022), The First Lady (2022) and Palm Royale (2024).

The final role to have been cast as of now is that of the eldest sister, Mary Ingalls, which was previously held by Melissa Sue Anderson. Actress Skywalker Hughes will be taking on the part and though she hasn’t been in the entertainment industry long, she has made an impression.

You may have previously seen the actress in the series Joe Pickett (2021-2023), Accused (2023) or Ordinary Angels (2024). You can also hear her voice in shows including PAW Patrol (2022) and Blue’s Clues & You (2024), but Hughes has quite a few exciting projects lined up.

Hughes, too, shared her appreciation for the part, writing on her Instagram account (which is also parent-run), “I am so thankful for this! I’ve loved the Little House books since I was very young and little me would absolutely die of excitement!”

Be sure to tune into the Little House on the Prairie reboo, which will likely be available sometime in 2026 only on Netflix!
