TOP STORIES

One of the most popular menu items at McDonald’s is the fast food chain’s McFlurry. After its launch in 1995, the fan- favorite has seen its fair share of special flavors over the years that customers have eagerly tried, including the special Birthday Cake McFlurry that debuted this spring. Now with the arrival of summer, McDonald’s is debuting a delicious seasonal variation that was a big hit in Canada last year. Keep reading to learn more about the new Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry and how you can try the sweet treat for yourself.

What’s in McDonald’s new S’mores McFlurry?

S’mores may be a summertime staple, but it’s no secret that they can be quite messy to make and eat! If you want a taste of the chocolate-marshmallow-graham cracker combo without the hassle, you won’t be able to resist this new delicious variation of the frozen fast food item. Like the other McFlurry options on the menu (Oreo and M&M’s), the base of the dessert is vanilla soft serve ice cream.

But it’s the tasty mix-ins that will have customers excited. This McFlurry includes mini marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey’s milk chocolate to capture the s’mores flavor.

It’s available in both the mini size (4-ounce) or the regular McFlurry size (around 12-ounce)—making it perfect for small and large appetites alike.

When and where to try the S’mores McFlurry

It’s not uncommon for some of the most exciting McDonald’s menu launches to be outside of the U.S. But there’s good news this time: the Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry can be enjoyed by customers around the country.

The McDonald’s S’mores McFlurry release date is June 10, 2025, and it’s launching at participating locations nationwide (to find a location near you, visit the restaurant locator).

One caveat: The menu item is only available through August 11, so you’ll just have a couple of months to enjoy. If it turns out to be a hit, there’s always a chance it could return next summer!

Not near a participating McDonald’s or want even more s’mores-flavored treats? These seasonal goodies found in grocery stores and restaurant chains alike offer that same gooey-chocolatey goodness:

  • S’mores Blizzard Treat. This Dairy Queen menu item features marshmallow-filled chocolate bars and graham crackers blended with soft serve ice cream.

  • Oreo S’mOREO Cookies. The limited-time cookie, which dropped in April, contains marshmallow and chocolate-flavored crème sandwiched between two graham-flavored cookies. While most of these were snatched up after the launch, there are some packages still available in stores.
  • Ben & Jerry’s Gimme S’more. In this 16-ounce container, you’ll find chocolate cookie swirls, graham cracker swirls, and fudge flakes mixed into toasted marshmallow ice cream.
  • Stuffed Puffs S’mores Bites. You can’t have a s’more without marshmallows, and this snack makes it the star of the show. Marshmallows are filled with milk chocolate and graham crumbles, and the entire marshmallow is coated in graham crackers.
  • Jelly Belly S’mores. Enjoy all the iconic flavors in a single bean—making it a perfect on-the-go option.

Or you can make your own the old-fashioned way: Sandwich a roasted marshmallow and a piece of chocolate between two graham cracker squares.

If that’s not enough, the McDonald’s S’mores McFlurry is a nostalgic twist on these summer flavors, available for a limited time only—so don’t miss it while it’s here!
