National Fast Food Day just got a whole lot cheesier—and we’re here for it. White Castle, America’s OG fast-food chain, is celebrating the foodie holiday today, November 16, with a deal guaranteed to make Cravers cheer. If you’re a member of Craver Nation Rewards (or ready to sign up), you’re in for a treat: buy one Double Cheese Slider, and get another one for free. Whether you’re reminiscing about late-night Slider runs or want to experience a piece of fast-food history, this deal is worth every bite. Here’s what to know about White Castle’s BOGO deal.

How to score White Castle’s BOGO deal

Everything taste better smaller—and that includes (free) sliders. White Castle’s BOGO deal gives Craver Nation Rewards members a chance to feast like royalty.

“White Castle is encouraging everyone to lift their BOGO Double Cheese Slider and say ‘cheers,'” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle in a press release. “When White Castle opened its doors in 1921, we believed every family deserved access to hot and tasty affordable food. Thanks to our founder Billy Ingram, that simple idea launched an industry, and we honor that devotion to great taste and value with just as much passion today.”

White Castle’s buy-one-get-one free Double Cheese Slider deal is exclusive to Craver Nation Rewards members. But don’t worry—it’s super simple to join. Just download the White Castle app, sign up for Craver Nation Rewards, and you’ll unlock access to this deal. As a bonus, new members receive $5 off their first mobile order, making this royal treat even sweeter.

Once signed up, you can use the app to grab your BOGO coupon and redeem it in-restaurant. Remember, this offer is available today only, so mark your calendar, grab a friend and get ready to share (or not) your cheesy treasures.

What makes White Castle’s Double Cheese Slider so iconic? It’s everything you love about a classic Slider, but with double the 100 percent beef, melted American cheese and the signature middle bun that locks in the steam-grilled flavor. It’s no wonder fans have been raving about it since its debut.

Not near a White Castle? You’re still in luck. On September 13, the fast food chain announced the Double Cheese Slider would join its grocery lineup, so you can stock up in the freezer aisle for slider cravings anytime.

“The new Double Cheese Slider delivers big White Castle taste with the convenience of enjoyment in the comfort of your home,” said Richardson in a press release. “When you have a microwave, you have a Castle, and the Double Cheese Slider is the perfect new product that will represent the White Castle brand in freezer aisles across the country.”

Did you know White Castle pioneered the fast-food industry? Founded in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas, by Billy Ingram and Walter Anderson, White Castle introduced America to its first-ever fast-food burger: the Slider. Priced at just five cents, these tiny, square-shaped burgers quickly became a sensation. Some say the name “slider” came from the way employees would “slide” the burgers down the counter to customers, while others have pointed to the World War II era where hungry sailors would “slide” them into their mouths.

The Slider’s influence is so significant that Time magazine named it “the most influential burger of all time” in 2014. Over the years, White Castle implemented a few upgrades, including adding five holes to the patties in 1947 (for thorough cooking without the need to flip) and adding cheese sliders to the menu in 1962.
