It’s a great way to cut fuel costs throughout the season, especially ahead of weekend travel. When gas prices are expected to rise, it’s even more of a reason to take advantage of the offer if you’re a member.

3 simple steps to saving on gas
If you’re ready to save on gas, you’ll first need to be an Amazon Prime member. You can join for $14.99 per month ($6.99 if you qualify for government assistance) if you haven’t already signed up. This membership includes not only gas discounts like this, but fast free shipping, Prime Video access and other perks too.
Once you’re a Prime member, your first step is to activate your membership on Amazon.com/fuelsavings. This officially links it with a free earnify account from bp so you can start enjoying the discount.
Prime members who do so automatically receive 5 cents per gallon in savings from earnify and 5 cents from Amazon Prime. But during the special promotion, you’ll also receive the additional 10 cents per gallon. This means even when the discount expires, you’ll still continue to get 10 cents off.
There’s yet another way to boost savings, reports CNBC. The secret: Create an Amazon Family account! This sharing feature allows you to include one other adult, four teens and four children in one household so everyone can enjoy the same perks and content.
What does this mean for the special gas discount? You can share it with another adult in your family account! With their own earnify account, they’ll also be able to score 20 cents off per gallon, which can be used for any vehicle.
Find a participating gas station near you
Every Friday through May 29, head to a participating bp, Amoco, ampm or Thorntons gas station. If you need help finding one near you, download the free earnify app to locate the closest station—and earn points that can be used for additional discounts.
Once you’re ready to pay, simply enter your phone number at the pump or use the earnify app. Your 20¢-per-gallon discount will automatically be applied to your total purchase.
