Triple Chocolate Cookie Mix

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. red M&Ms
- 1/2 c. green M&Ms
- 2 jars with lids, such as canning jars
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. chocolate chunks
- 1/4 c. white chocolate chips
- at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Combine M&M’s. Place 1/2 cup flour mixture in bottom of each jar, pressing down lightly to make an even layer. Top each with 1/4 cup cocoa, then half of remaining flour mixture, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, pressing down lightly after each layer. Top each with 1/2 cup M&M’s mixture, half of chocolate chunks and half of white chocolate chips. Seal with lid.
(Include these directions with each gift jar, if you don’t use our gift tag): “Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat 6 tablespoons butter (room temperature) with 1 egg and 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir in contents of jar until blended. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls, two inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12 to 13 minutes or until set in centers. Cool 5 minutes. Transfer to rack; cool. Makes 8."
