Satisfy Your Pasta Craving with This Quick Turkey Bolognese Recipe
Classic bolognese gets a delicious upgrade — and speeds to the table in just 35 minutes
When you’re craving pasta in a flavorful sauce, this turkey Bolognese recipe checks every box. It’s super satisfying and delicious, thanks to the rich and hearty sauce. Bolognese is a classic Italian meat sauce typically made with ground beef or pork or a combination of the two. The sauce originated in Bologna, a city in northern Italy. We give our version a clever twist by using cooked, shredded turkey (a great way to use up holiday leftovers) instead of ground meat. This gives the sauce even more depth, yet makes it healthier, too. Then we add marinara, roasted red peppers, basil and some red pepper flakes for just a bit of a kick.
But the real star ingredient of this dish is … shredded carrots! They add some sweetness to the sauce, perfectly balancing the bite of the marinara. The result is absolutely luscious. You won’t be able to get enough of this spaghetti dish! And best of all, it’s quick and easy to make. Watch our video, then give it a try.
