A dramatic rescue took place in a backyard in Hickory, SC--and what was uncovered has everyone thrilled.
When cries could be heard coming from underneath an outbuilding (or shed) in his neighbor's yard, Greg Sigmon headed over and could see his black Labrador, nicknamed Vee, who had recently given birth to a litter of tiny puppies during torrential rainstorms. Because of all the rain, Vee and her pups had become stuck in the mud--and Vee was refusing to leave her nursing babies, even for a second.
Fearing that more heavy rain on the way would drown the puppies, Sigmon called the Hickory Rescue, who arrived right away and quickly jacked up the small shed. Sigmon went in first to grab Vee--and then one by one, the puppies were safely removed, their loud cries audible all throughout the intense scene. Just watch.
