SkyRX has a fast and easy approval process

To get approved for SkyRX’s GLP-1 medication plan, you need to fill out a health questionnaire first. This took me less than five minutes to complete. If you’re approved, SkyRX will take your payment and connect you to one of their licensed providers for a consultation.

This usually takes 24-48 hours, according to the customer service agent I spoke to. This licensed provider will create a customized diet plan and you can decide whether oral or injectable compounded medication is right for you.

Even with new FDA guidelines, SkyRX has a supply of compounded GLP-1s

SkyRX offers GLP-1 weight loss options that include compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, in both injectable and oral forms. With the recent news that pharmacies would no longer be able to compound GLP-1 medication, I asked SkyRX how they are handling the issue:

“Regarding the availability of compounded GLP-1 medications, we are closely monitoring the recent regulatory developments. While the FDA has made updates concerning the regulation of compounded medications, these changes do not currently impact our ability to provide treatment. We remain committed to ensuring consistent and uninterrupted access to your medication and will keep all patients informed should anything change.”

I asked the agent on the phone for more information and she told me that SkyRX can continue to sell compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as long as they have a current supply, but FDA guidelines say they cannot have their compounding pharmacy partners make more. She said SkyRX should be able to supply medication for several months. Because of this, there is the possibility that your supply may run out, so it is something you should keep in mind if you decide to take compounded medication.

Other telehealth providers offer “customized” GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP protocols to get around this issue, but SkyRX is not offering those at this time.

SkyRX state-by-state availability is unclear

According to SkyRX’s FAQ section, services are available in all 50 states and Washington D.C. However, this might not be accurate with regulations constantly changing. Here is what a customer service agent told me when I asked about state availability:

“Unfortunately, we do not provide services in Mississippi. Additionally, we are unable to offer Tirzepatide injections in California. At this time, there are no GLP services available in Hawaii or Louisiana, and no ED services in North Dakota.”

If you’re interested in SkyRX’s services, they will let you know during your questionnaire if they are available in your area.

SkyRX offers promotional discounts on GLP-1s

While SkyRX does not show pricing for GLP-1 medication on its site, I was able to find this information by speaking to a few customer service agents. SkyRX also gave me pricing when I filled out their qualifying questionnaire. For compounded semaglutide injections, the cost is $199 for the first month as a promotional rate and $297 per month after. For compounded tirzepatide injections, the cost 297 for the first month as a promotional rate and $397 per month after.

Oral GLP-1 medication is slightly more expensive (the agent I spoke to said it is not as effective as the injections). Compounded semaglutide drops are $249 for the first month and $349 per month after. Compounded tirzepatide drops are then more expensive at $347 for the first month and $447 each month after.

SkyRX began in 2019 and has grown to over 100,000 patients

According a November 2024 article by US Insider, former pharmacist Chad Altman founded SkyRX. The brand’s Better Business Bureau listing shows the business started in February of 2019. Since then, SkyRX has served over 100,000 patients and now operates in all 50 states, according to SkyRX’s FAQ section.

SkyRX currently operates under Viking Man Inc., a Delaware corporation. Viking Man is a different telehealth provider that focuses on improving men’s health through medication and supplements. Chad Altman is the CEO for both companies, according to his LinkedIn profile.

SkyRX has LegitScript certification

SkyRX is a verified pharmacy and telemedicine website through the LegitScript certification process. This is important because it ensures that online pharmacies and telemedicine companies comply with all applicable laws. Payment service providers may also require their telemedicine providers to have LegitScript certification.

SkyRX does not accept insurance

SkyRX does not accept insurance and is a direct pay service only. A SkyRX agent told me, “At this time, we operate on a cash-pay basis only. We accept all major debit and credit cards, but do not accept insurance.”

Because insurance does not cover compounded medication, it makes sense that SkyRX does not accept it. However, other telehealth providers offer name-brand medications like Ozempic, which generally are accepted through health insurance if you meet certain qualifications.

I got amazing customer service with SkyRX

The telehealth provider’s customer service offerings include a toll-free phone number and email. There’s no chat support at this time.

Customer experience

I was really impressed with SkyRX’s customer support. When I called in, someone answered in less than three minutes. The agent was one of the most knowledgeable agents I can recall speaking to during mystery shopper calls. Moving to email support, I was equally impressed. An agent responded in less than 30 minutes and was extremely helpful. I had a few follow-up questions throughout the week and their online support responded every time in less than 30 minutes.

Online experience

SkyRX’s website is well laid out and easy to navigate. The brand shows its various healthcare offerings, with weight loss and GLP-1 medication at the forefront. One complaint is the lack of pricing information for GLP-1s. I could access this when I filled out the health questionnaire (which only took a few minutes). However, other telehealth providers offer upfront pricing without filling out a form, which I think SkyRX should also have.

Another thing thing I noticed when I navigated the site was that at the bottom of the page, SkyRX lists some of its other products (ED, NAD+). It would be nice for those products to have links to separate pages with pricing and more information.

Features and benefits

  • GLP-1 medication approval in less than 48 hours
  • Affordable pricing compared to name-brand GLP-1s
  • Month to month, no long contracts
  • Discreet home delivery
  • Additional treatment options (sexual, cellular and mental health)
  • Ongoing support included in pricing

GLP-1 medication ships in two days

After getting approval from one of SkyRX’s providers, the brand will ship your medication. SkyRX’s pricing includes free two-day shipping within the U.S. You’ll receive a tracking link sent to your email once your order is complete.

To get a medication refill, you need to fill out a questionnaire before the end of the month for your physician to approve. Since SkyRX is a monthly subscription, the agent I spoke to advised that you should do this sooner than later to avoid medication shipment delays. SkyRX will continue to charge your account even if you do not fill out the questionnaire for a refill. If you do need to cancel your subscription though, the agent told me you can do this easily by calling in.
