Filmmaker Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann make quite the comedic duo. While Apatow is the man behind some of the funniest movies of the last decade such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), This Is 40 (2012), The King of Staten Island (2020) and countless others, his wife has showed off her impeccable timing and hilarious delivery in movies like This Is 40 (2012), The Other Woman (2014) and 17 Again (2009) to name a few. The comedy couple tied the knot back in 1997 and since then, not only have their careers grown exponentially, but so has their family. Leslie and Judd are mom and dad to two grown daughters, both of whom have already proven themselves in the world of showbiz—They’ve even made several appearances in their parents’ films over the years!
“They’re good girls,” Mann told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I don’t know if you feel like this but as a parents, when you’re given these two little babies you don’t want to ruin them with bad parenting. So it’s a lot of pressure on us parents and, looking at them now, I feel like, ‘Okay, maybe I didn’t ruin them. Maybe they’re okay.'” With two booming careers and lovely personalities that shine through their work, it’s safe to say that their two daughters, Maude and Iris, are doing more than okay! Maude Apatow
There’s a good chance you’ve caught a glimpse of or heard Maude Apatow’s name at some point over the last few years. While it was her role as Lexi Howard in the HBO hit drama Euphoria that launched her to mainstream fame, her earliest roles in her parents’ movies showcased how talented she was from a young age. Her first role was in 2007’s Knocked Up, where she got to play the daughter of her mom’s character alongside her younger sis. She reprised this role in the follow-up film This Is 40, where her pre-teen angst made for a hilarious performance and served as an early indicator of her future success on screen.
In recent years, the 27-year-old actress has shined in series like Hollywood and Euphoria, as well as in movies like The King of Staten Island (2020) and most recently, One of Them Days (2025). Being the daughter of two major Hollywood figures, the “nepotism baby” label certainly follows her, especially since she’s acted in many of her parents’ films. However, the actress remains determined to prove herself.
“Obviously, I’ve acted in so many of my parents’ movies, and people are going to say it’s nepotism. I mean, it’s not even an insult—well, it is an insult, but it is what it is,” she told The Los Angeles Times in 2020 after acting in her dad’s film The King of Staten Island. “I want to be a director someday, and getting to watch my dad do what he does is very important to me. I don’t know when I’m ever going to do this again, and it just felt like, ‘Why would I not do it?,’” she said of taking on the 2020 role. “I’m gonna spend my whole life trying to prove myself as an individual, and that’s a chip on my shoulder. It’s really important to me to show that I work really hard, because I do. I want to be an individual.”
Iris Apatow
Similar to her big sis, 23-year-old Iris Apatow has also shined alongside her mom and worked with her dad behind the scenes on several of their films. The curly-headed cutie that stole hearts in Knocked Up (2007) and This Is 40 (2012) is all grown up now, and she too has forged her own path on the big screen and small screen. The spitting image of her mom, Iris starred in Love, The Bubble (2022), Unstable and Young Werther (2024). You may have even caught her in her famous bestie, Olivia Rodrigo’s, music video for her hit song “bad idea right?” Iris also made headlines when she was romantically linked to the son of another famous face—Ryder Robinson, whose mom just so happens to be Kate Hudson!
