By now, you’ve probably heard that Ted Danson’s wife, Mary Steenburgen, is joining the cast of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside. And while the couple does have a super sweet love story, they aren’t the only cast members who are head over heels in love. Below, we share the real-life loves of the Man on the Inside cast, and trust us when we say these cases aren’t that hard to crack.

Danson and Steenburgen are one of the most talked-about couples in Hollywood. The two originally met in 1983, but they didn’t start dating until a decade later. They then got married in October 1995 and have been together ever since.

“I was not really fully emotionally baked until shortly before I met Mary,” Danson told People magazine in November of 2024. “Whenever I become self-deprecating, full of doubt, which I do on a regular basis, she lovingly goes, ‘Snap out of it,’ and kind of forces me out the door into turning the next corner in life.”

Before Steenburgen, Danson was married to Randy Danson from 1970 to 1975 and then to Casey Coates from 1977 until 1993. He has two children—Alexis and Kate—whom he shares with Coates. He also serves as a stepdad to Steenburgen’s two kids and is now a grandpa as well.

“We have three granddaughters. Magnificent. Our first grandson was born and his name is Sunny. And it’s a great name,” Danson told Jimmy Kimmel in 2024. “Funny little story about the youngest granddaughter when she found out my daughter was pregnant with Sunny-to-be. [She] was not happy because her place as the baby—the younger person, the one who got the most attention—was at risk.”

Actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis, age 46, has been happily married to actor and writer Charlie Day since 2006. They met on the set of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the early 2000s, and since then have welcomed one child together.

“This guy. What a prize. Glad I snatched you up in the claw of my heart,” Ellis wrote on Instagram in March of 2023. “Happy 17th anniversary (and over 21 years together!). You’re pretty great.”

Stephanie Beatriz

Actress Stephanie Beatriz is married to a man named Brad Hoss. Details of the pair’s relationship do remain a secret, but it’s clear that they got married in 2018, welcomed a child in 2021 and are believed to still be together.

“Her name is Rosaline: pronounced Roz-uh-line. I’m very very in awe of the entire experience of having a kiddo,” Beatriz wrote on Instagram in August of 2021. “Is INCREDIBLE and HARD AF and BEAUTIFUL and EMOTIONAL, and I can’t remember ever being this amazed and feeling so overwhelmingly full of gratitude. Roz, you are so cool.”

Max Greenfield

Max Greenfield has been happily married to his wife Tess Sanchez since 2008, and they have two children together.

“Max always puts me first—smartly—which makes for a happy home. And because we’re thoughtful with each other, we’ve ended up with empathetic, nice kids, because that’s what they see all day,” Sanchez told Parents in August of 2023. “[We] definitely [had] chemistry at first sight, but as our relationship has progressed, it’s just gotten better.”

Greenfield added onto that, saying in that same Parents interview, “We communicate well, too.”

“When Tess was pregnant with Lilly, I definitely didn’t think I was ready. You’re a psychopath if you’re about to have your first child and you’re, like, ‘I’m ready for this!’  But after Lilly, I knew I wanted a second. I was an only child, and I wanted her to have a sibling,” he continued. “Now that we have an 11-year-old, parenting is more than just making sure they survive. It’s more emotional. If Lilly comes to me with something I don’t know how to handle, I’ll say, ‘Let’s go ask Mom.’ It’s not that I avoid difficult questions. It’s that I don’t trust my initial instincts. I move slowly and parenting moves at warp speed. By the time I process everything, Tess has solved it.”
