Inside the Drummond Family’s Whirlwind NYC Adventure—Baby Sofia Steals the Show!
Four generations celebrated in the Big Apple—and the photos are absolutely heartwarming
The Drummond family is in their New York City era! In a series of social media stories Ree, Alex and Paige revealed that they were in the Big Apple with Baby Sofia to celebrate the launch of the new Pioneer Woman cookbook The Essential Recipes: 120 Greatest Hits, New Twists, and Perfected Classics. And trust us when we say it’s the family like we’ve never seen them before! Below, we share everything you need to know about their travels, including the sweet way Ree paid tribute to her granddaughter.
The Drummonds take on NYC
Over the weekend, the Drummond women went to New York City. They saw the sights, ate some delicious food and even stopped by NBC’s Today, where Baby Sofia stole the show.
“By the way, the cookbook is dedicated to your beautiful little granddaughter, Sofia, who is here,” Today show host Carson Daly said before the camera panned to Sofia and her mother, Alex.
After leaving 30 Rock, the Drummonds went walking to get some lunch. They then ended the night at the Broadway musical Hamilton. It was an early birthday gift for Ree’s mom, Gerre Schwert, who had never seen the show.
“Happy (almost) 84th bday Mom!!” Ree wrote on Instagram.
The Drummonds also took the time to show baby Sofia “what actual fall feels like,” including walks in Central Park and the West Village, along with Sofia’s Aunt Paige.
“Sofia hearts Aunt Paige,” Alex wrote on her Instagram story.
Paige also commented on her adventures with her niece, by writing “Not pictured: me singing the Teletubbies theme song behind the camera to get a smile,” on one of Alex’s Instagram posts.
Details on The Pioneer Woman’s book tour
Ree will be visiting 10 cities on her book tour, and Paige will be by her side the whole time. Alex will also join, buts he won’t be at as many stops as her sister.
“I will be holding a conversation at most of the events, and Paige will be joining me on the road. Alex will also join at a couple of locations, and we will have some surprise pop-in guests along the way,” Ree wrote on her website. “I love having book events, but usually I only get to spend a short time saying hello. With this format, we’ll spend time together for a good hour, and I’ll be sharing funny stories about ranch life, filming my Food Network show through the years, and Paige and I will talk weddings and other whatnot. We’ll be doing a Q&A as well, and we are excited!”
