Ree Drummond’s Sweet Response to Alex’s Comment About Baby Sofia’s Visit—‘Dallas Schmallis!’

Ree Drummond is soaking up every possible moment with her granddaughter, Sofia Marie. Recently, the Pioneer Woman’s daughter Alex Drummond Scott, her husband Mauricio Scott and, of course, baby Sofia took a trip to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to spend quality time with grandma and family. And it seems like Drummond doesn’t want to say goodbye to Sofia. Keep reading to see Drummond’s response to Alex’s statement about their visit, plus more sweet family moments.
Ree Drummond soaks up time with Baby Sofia—and hints she’s not letting go!
The Scott family—including beloved pup George–recently traveled to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to visit Grandma and other members of the Drummond clan. While there, Drummond Scott poked fun at her mom, joking that Ree would have trouble saying goodbye to baby Sofia.
Drummond Scott posted a photo of Ree cradling Sofia to her Instagram story on February 10, sharing that Sofia’s return home might not be easy. The caption read:
“@thepioneerwoman is never letting us go back to Dallas,” Drummond Scott wrote in her Instagram Story. Shortly after, The Pioneer Woman agreed, and responded on her own Instagram story, “Dallas schmallis!!!”
Sofia’s first visit to The Pioneer Woman Mercantile—see the sweet moment!
While staying in Oklahoma, Drummond-Scott thought it would be a good time for Sofia to visit her mom’s restaurant, The Pioneer Woman Mercantile. In another Instagram story posted on February 11, she shared a photo of Sofia Marie sleeping in her stroller with the caption, “Sofia’s first Mercantile visit,”
The Mercantile is a must-visit for Pioneer Woman fans. It has a general store with Ree’s favorite cookware and a restaurant serving classic comfort dishes, such as biscuits and gravy, and country-fried steak.
But the fun didn’t stop there! Sofia not only got to hang out with Grandma Ree Ree, but also spent time with her great-grandmother, Gerre Schwert. Drummond Scott documented the sweet moment on her Instagram story and said, “4 Generations!” The photo from left to right was Ree, Alex, who was also holding Sofia and Gerre.
At the end of January, Drummond also shared a photo of Sofia with her great-grandmother. “My daughter’s grandmother with my daughter’s daughter! (And my daughter’s Christmas tree, which is still up—welcome to parenthood, Alex!),” read the caption.

While the Pioneer Woman likely gets sent daily Sofia photos, fans of the Drummond clan are also getting their baby fix, thanks to Instagram.
Drummond-Scott is excited to share Sofia’s updates and what she and her family have been up to since having a baby. At the end of January, she posted 20 different photos with the caption, “Lil’ scrapbook of January. Not much sleep but a whole lot of sweet memories!!”
The first photo was a family portrait with Alex, Mauricio and a sleeping Sofia at her first rodeo. Sofia was unbothered, but her Aunt Paige, Uncle David and Uncle Bryce had a great time.
Other photos include first-time outings, cute moments with George and lots of naps and cuddles with family. If you’re like us, we can’t wait to see more Sofia updates as well as Ree Drummond fully embracing her grandma status.
