The Drummond family is loving life with Baby Sofia
Ree Drummond is savoring every moment as a first-time grandmother! She and Alex have been keeping fans updated with adorable snapshots of Sofia Marie’s early days. Alex has shared multiple posts since welcoming her daughter, including Sofia’s first snow day, 1 month since her birth, and multiple adorable reels.
Ree has been sharing plenty of special moments with her granddaughter. In her first photo with Sofia and husband Ladd, she captioned it, “Our first baby had her first baby. ❤️ Thank you Lord, we will never be the same.”

Since then, Ree has shared a sweet reel of her holding Sofia again near a twinkling Christmas tree. ‘Home is where Sofia is. 😭❤️’ she wrote, adding with humor, ‘I need a vehicle with better gas mileage. 😂 (PS she loves the twinkly lights.)’ Even the family dog, Georgie, made a cameo!
Alex also captured the sweet moment when her brother, Bryce, met his niece for the first time. In her Instagram story, she wrote, “Finally got to meet her Uncle Bryce—FUNcle vibes.”
Alex Drummond announced the birth of her daughter, Sofia Marie, on December 18, 2024. She shared hospital photos of herself, Mauricio, and their newborn, writing, “At 2:27 a.m., our perfect girl made her arrival a couple weeks early—just in time for Christmas! We are so in love and forever changed. Thank you, Lord.”
